2015 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox

Augliera and Hazelbaker did not make my opening day 25, but injuries forced them onto the final 25 - Junichi Tazawa out for 9 months, and Josh Willingham suffered a CEI 35 games into his Red Sox career...

Not quite on the level of those other guys, but still pretty solid...

Did you trade Big Papi? Because the way he played last postseason, I don't see him retiring until 2020 or so, unless his OOTP career arc is way different than real life!

PECOTA apparently didn't see him having too great of a season last year, because his ratings in the quickstart are pretty lousy and decline rapidly such that it's pretty unusual for him to last more than one season as an even decent player...I usually edit his ratings (totally cheating, I know, but it's my game and I can do what I want! ) to reflect a level of performance consistent with the past 3 seasons (.311/.401/.571 with 46 2b and 36 hr per 162) and that usually helps a bit.

A late-season hot streak led to 88-74 finish, still our worst record ever. Missed the wild card by a painfully close two games. Since a few guys had off years, and one of our best pitchers missed all but two games with an injury, and another got old in a hurry and was traded at midseason (he retired from a borderline HOF career after the season) 2028 still looks promising.

My other season is a 1944-? St. Louis Browns scenario. Just finished 1945. Won the World Series over the Cardinals both seasons. Doing a "what if" scenario where Josh Gibson broke the color barrier in 1944, then Cool Papa Bell, Martin Dihigo, and Buck O'Neil joined the team in '45. Gibson was MVP both years, tying the Babe's HR record in his rookie campaign. Dihigo won the ROY in '45 with a hot first half (he cooled down and mostly platooned in the second half), while Bell and O'Neil are backups. Gibson and Vern Stephens are still going strong, but now that several players are coming back from WW2, the competition will be tougher next season.

I really need to start some dynasty threads...

Where did you find the Negro League rosters?

I wish I had saved a team picture of this game's 1970 Padres, who finished a whopping 35-127 (expansion has made for some REALLY extreme W-L records); is there any way facegen can display the acute embarrassment those guys must have felt playing on that team?

As an aside, until I was writing this post I had no idea you could add facial hair onto historical facegens and have it work properly. I've always been super bothered that Dwight Evans appears sans 'stache...just found out I can add one on and give him the facial hair he deserves! I've added the fruits of my labor on the right.

Where did you get the template for the Evans card?

It's from the Topps 1977 set done by klavier found at OOTPmods.com under the Facegen heading. I've played around with a lot of different card templates and it's my personal favorite (not to mention super era-appropriate, which was a total coincidence), although the text is a bit difficult to read.

I didn't, I just had the facegens and edited a few guys to be Gibson, et. al. I think there is a database for Negro Leagues players, though, if you look around. I would have created Satch, too, but didn't want a clone floating around when the Indians sign him in '48.

2013 Masterman Blue Dragons... This is a small, 4-team league I created with teams that I have played for in real-life. I made all of the uniforms for it, except for this one. This team is actually the only team out the 4 that I never actually played for, but I would have if I hadn't moved away from Philadelphia.

Players enter at 17, don't play until they're 18, and then leave at 24. No financials, no trading. Only way to get new players is through the draft and other players AI teams have released. Roster limit at 20, teams play 3 games a week for 12 weeks, so 3-man rotation.

They obviously weren't present for the team picture, so someone had to Photoshop them in.

Is there a way to create a team photo with road or alt uniforms?

Only why I know of is to load alt or road as home. Would make it easier to have an option to use road.

That's what I thought might be the answer. I ended up doing that last night, but I was hoping for a shortcut. Not the worst problem in the world, though. Thanks for the response, anyway!
