May have been mentioned in the thread, I don't know, but I also added, for the record, a request to add histories to coaches that can be added to and edited like players. I like to record specific achievements linked to coaches to create a bit more immersion.

That's a really good idea. Have you posted it in the Suggestions Forum for 15 yet?

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

I have it in our Project Tools area where both Bug Reports and Feature Requests are submitted.

Coaches with histories seems like a no-brainer.

Well, took a long time just to get the histories we have.

Discuss further / Ask for scouting report."
I had occasion to think about this a bit more and I realize that getting such a note on EVERY minor league player proposed to be promoted or demoted would be even more tedious! Maybe a summary report of batters (from the batting coach) and pitchers (from the pitching coach) with recommendations therein to be approved or denied (unless such moves are delegated to the AI).

Anyway, the point is to have some meaningful interaction with coaches so as they are not just placeholders with hopefully blue ratings and that is all you care about. VG's and eg's suggestions about love/hate notes from coaches and coaching histories are great suggestions.

Dola, but another suggestion that I just thought of on my daily constitutional. How about the scout doing annual PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS of each coach, based on player Development Report results?
