I know a lot of these semi-pro/barnstorming teams would go west (California) for the winter. Tx, that is a good question. You would think they would make just as much money traveling state-wide playing the local teams or even to California in its winter leagues.

There are two different jerseys in the photo and I found some other closeups of the caps and they looked to have more of a white letter... So I did two versions...

From the Texas Almanac, heheh, almost typed Alamo. Geez.

"The Depression did not deter black ballplayers from playing the game they loved but caused them to return to barnstorming and amateur organizations. The Fort Worth Black Cats, the Mineola Black Spiders, the Waco Tigers, the Jasper Steers and the Dallas Brown Bombers played all over Texas and as far north as Canada. These teams and a few others were recognized as having some of the greatest black baseball talent not in the Negro National or American leagues, and many of these players went on to play in those leagues."

tx when you have time and I mean when you get some free time could you change the North Battleford Beavers logo and uni logo to maroon instead of green. I contacted Jay on the Western Canada site and he mentioned it (batboy for Lloydminster), he also mentioned you'd done a great job with the uni's and logos as I'd sent him the links. His words.

hard enough to find any pictures of those uniforms and here he's brought them to life
It's great that we can say how good your uni's and logos are but even better when someone who was actually involved and wearing one of the uni's you've made say's it.

Thanks tx, it's your work that's appreciated. Jay was right by saying you bring them to life, speaking personally without the logos and specially the uniforms you and the other's make the game wouldn't come to life.

First post here, so I thought I'd comment in my home town team. The Quakers dark uniform was a navy blue.
