HAHA. I had a really good run with my team as well in the fictional game.

You have been here for a long time so you have probably already tries this.
Online League, maybe fast sim FOOL? style.
I have never played solo; I was going to try with 12 and never got around to it. I think I would hit a wall of boredom if I were not in online leagues.
Good luck

See I'm the other way. I'm not a fan of online leagues. I really enjoy solo games.

Is there anyway to solve the speed issue other than buying a new computer.
Maybe some of the more experience fellas can offer a solution. Sounds like you would be playing ball tonight if you could speed up play.

Yeah, I hope there is some way. I could always start the league over. Just set it back up like it is now.

I would certainly add "seeing a doctor" to the to-do list regarding your lack of interest.

Honestly, I struggle to be UNinterested, most of the time, so I can... You know.. exit the game.

I've played 40 hours so far (according to the database info section) but I figure I'd have another 10-20 hours under my belt if my laptop wasn't threatening to overheat so often that I can only play a half hour at a time.

I've been in the same boat as I have started about 50 or so leagues in 13 and haven't really been able to stick. I had to start playing historical to find some interest. I started in the late 70's with the Tigers but after getting fired after one season I started something else. I have finally gotten interested enough in a league I never thought I would and that was starting as the Tigers in 1901. I've only played one season (play out first game of every series and then sim the rest of the series) but I'm pretty hooked. It also helped as I inserted one fictional player as me so that I can follow along. I didn't create him too great but good enough to stick... It's similar enough to the fictional games I'm used to but I've had a good time looking up players in baseball reference (I use development engine so I'm not cheating too bad)

It also doesn't help that I found a post on here that gave instructions on how to import ballparks & ball locations from an existing league so the most time consuming part is now a lot quicker.

I've thought about going back and playing as Twins from day one when they arrived in Minneapolis. replay with some of the greats (Carew, Oliva, Killebrew, Puckett, etc)

How about managing each game as the Twins from the beginning using real lineups and transactions? If it drags, you could try simming every other game to speed it up.

My laptop is only a year and a half old and I have no money. I could ask my uncle to fix it but I bug him about my tech needs too much.

You mean starting from day one in 1961

I like that idea too. Yes, starting at Day 1, 1961.
And you could start a Twins franchise report in the "Dynasty Reports" section to keep us updated on the Twins progress. Just a thought to incite more interest.

By the way, Orcin's Story is a classic!

Yeah. Would be fun, but not sure about a dynasty report.

I'm going to use real historical lineups and have historical transactions on. I want to play it out with the real life transactions and such.
