I have never been a Nagashima fan myself. (I always liked Oh better when I was a kid, and I still feel the same way)However, somehow Nagashima has been the icon of Japanese baseball, and he still is the one who gets all the attention...

And if we consider the position, I'll put Katsuya Nomura in the top three.

Not that McCarver's the smartest baseball announcer ever, but I don't know how he couldn't have known that pitch speed was the speed at which it leaves the pitcher's hand. They aim the radar gun at the hand for pete's sake.

I'm amazed listening to McCarver each time I watch a game on Fox, but you'd think a former catcher would know that.

The Angels are looking so incredibly uncomfortable at the plate.

Wow, Pay-Rod would have made that play. But they kept their drafted player happy and got another bat. They should still pull this out. And error for the Yanks isn't as bad as it is for another team. They got enough players to still pour it on.

Yeah I'm off the hook tonight.
Baseball will do what it wants to itself. We'll be along for the ride, kinda. Cause we're baseball fans. All I can say is thank you Markus for OOTP. |

2-2 game heading into the 9th seems like a pretty good game to me, no matter who you follow.

If the ump keeps calling this low balls strikes this game is gonna last forever.
One against Abreau was it? And now against Matsuki. Yeah, good game. Its no Twins vs. Tigers...but its good. |

is anybody still watching this? No comments?
I thought that was a weird sequence of commentator discussion. He obviously didn't touch the bag, not even close. Aybar has had a chip on his shoulder the whole game, of course he's going to be animated.

Really good game. Going to be a drag though if they stop it for rain, it looks like it is pouring down out there now.

The Twins/Tigers game was so much more fun in here. Where is everybody?

I'm still here. Watching the game. It seems to be an interesting mix of great baseball and sloppy baseball. The commentators generally annoy me, but that's not new. I'm a big Angels fan, but I've never liked Aybar, so there's not much I can say about that "double play."
