Anyone play Adam Ryland's wrestling and MMA games from Grey Dog? I would love to see Markus do a developer's diary like he does... I mean its only a paragraph or two a day that talks about the previous day's work. It would be awesome to see markus adopt this idea as well

Actually, sometimes the update is given when the update is NOT ready, think back to the 1st one we got this year.

Wow, the mail was bigger back in those days, look at the size of that envelope. I would hate to be that mail delivery guy!

Everyone at OOTP must be in lock down mode. I haven't seen a post from Markus in almost 2 weeks.

Happy? I changed it yesterday.

If you think something should be changed, you can always report the thread and make the request. Reporting doesn't have to be just for pointing out warnable or spamming posts. The mods discussed this awhile back and a number of us gladly agreed to handle these other types of requests. There's no guarantee the request will be implemented, but if one of those mods agrees with it they will do it. Just try not to go too trigger happy with it.

I agree

Now I understand, nothing is set in stone. But for those of us who have already paid for the product, I think some kind of update is in order. Just "In the Spring" isn't good enough. Any other game release can be narrowed down to a more specific time period at this point.

Even if you give us a two week window that would be nice. Opening day is tomorrow and still we have no update.

I don't think it's too much to ask to narrow it down to a two week period, say something like May 1st-May 14th, or something like that.

You have my money. And I don't think it's too much to ask when we will be getting the product we've paid for.

And I'm not asking to rush either, just give us a time period other than "Spring". That's just b.s.. After developing the game for as long as you have, you should have an idea by now of when it might be release.

Thanks from a loyal customer.

The problem here is that it's safer to stay quiet than to set a release date. There's no way for them to win. They announce a release date today and people will bitch because it's not soon enough. If something happens and they miss the date, people bitch. Now people are bitching because they don't know the release date.

People act like they're trying to keep something from you. Believe me, they want it out as soon as possible and they want people to be happy. Let them work and let us testers test and it will all come out in the end.

I also hate the argument that they should give you release date because you've already paid. Did you have a release date when you paid? Did they say spring? If that wasn't good enough you shouldn't have paid.

Just try and be patient I think you'll like what you get in the end, even if it doesn't come out on opening day.

Any other game?
Most games don't have precise release dates these days (until they are very close, and retailers want to know); a precise release date means absolutely nothing.

You must not buy a lot of computer games.

They said "Spring." There's a whole lot of Spring left. Reasonably, nobody should start getting antsy until about June 1st.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Yep. I've said it time and again, that was my original thought (June 1st release date) when they said "Spring".

I can always HOPE it's earlier, but I don't count on it.

Markus himself has come out and said that the game will likely be out BEFORE June. That's all we've heard before or since.

I started getting antsy in January. But I have never been a very patient person.
