Great list! How many exciting fights did those greats give us all over the years?

If you cast of guy for a movie on what a tough champ should look like, could you do much better than Hagler? Hearns with the freak power was always fun to watch & also agree about Ray, love him or hate him his fights were always interesting!

Mike Tyson - Rank him where you want, but for pure entertainment value none come close to the baddest man on the planet.

Roy Jones Jr - It can be hard to see when you look at him now, but his best was SCARY good. I flew all the way from Australia to see this guy fight.

Joe Frazier and Marvin Hagler.

True story -- In 1984 I was in college working at a nice restaurant that Hagler and other celebs frequented. I was sometimes a waiter, sometimes busboy. It was the night of a Lionel Richie concert. Hagler, Robbie Sims and their wives came in after attending the show. My boss stationed me in front of Hagler's corner table and instructed me to just stand there all night and keep well-wishers away.

So for about 3 hours I stood about 5 feet away and ended up joking and conversing with them. Afterward, they retired to the lounge. At one point Hagler was coming back from the men's room and came over to me, thanked me, and gave me a $30 tip for my "bodyguard" work.

He sat around in the lounge with us, and then went out and got his car to drive his group away. He pulled up to the door with a big Cadillac and a huge "badge" on the door (like a police car would have) that said World Middleweight Champion

. We all stood in the doorway and waved goodbye as if we were his relatives.

Great guy. As I write this, I sit beneath his framed autograph from that night attached to a (his?) backstage pass from the concert.

An interesting followup to my Hagler story above. He's always seemed to want people to "know" that he was champ - it seems very important to him (that's me playing amateur psychologist on it anyway). Note how devastated he was after losing the split-decision to Leonard. Plus it was astounding the night I met him to see him drive off in a car with a huge "World Middleweight Champion" emblem on the door. Who else does that? He was immensely proud to be champ...

Great list on the least favorite too, I detested Bramble after he beat Ray, but eventually warmed up to him later, he was quite a character. Camacho has a well deserved place though. I would also add Kenny Bogner and Zab Judah to my least favorite list.
