Is there any link between the order the uploads are read in and the team that wins a waiver claim?
Did anybody get the chance to see whether this had an effect?

I set up a fictional league and simmed through to the beginning of June. I then applied as GM to the team with the second best record and put a player on waivers.

I then acted as the team with the third best record and was able to claim said player. I then simmed a day, and nobody else put in a claim. I then switched to act as the team with the best record and the claim was rejected, as it was by any team with a better record than the claimer. I was able to claim the player by the team with an equal record in the other sub-league though.

Simmed another day and the team with the worst record also put in a claim and they were accepted and I couldn't get a non-rejected claim from acting as any other team.

As far as I'm aware there isn't an option for last come last served with waivers.
I checked the code, and this is exactly how it works. So there needs to be something else going on...

Those experiencing trouble, are the teams from the same league? Cross-league waiver claims are not supported.

Also, keep in mind that there is a pullback option, so when a player is on waivers and claimed, he might have been pulled back because the user wanted it that way.

Markus,

I've just started a game with the MLB and Japanese leagues included, and I was able to claim a player from Hokkaido on waivers whilst managing Boston.

I was under the impression this was still logged as a carryover from as early as v2006. To the best of my recollection the first report was that the leagues should share the same FA list, but were also sharing the same waiver wire which should not be the case as I understood it.

They weren't sharing the same waiver wire as the player list in the MLB one was distinct to the one in the Nippon league, but a team was still able to claim from the other.

I can't find a reference to this bug in the bugzilla system, so I'm willing to log the cross-league waiver bug as Markus has said it shouldn't happen.

Our online league is one of those having this trouble. The teams making claims are in the same league (though we do have other AI-only leagues in our universe). I can also verify that this problem is happening in situations where a player has been placed on irrevocable waivers. The problem has been prevalent enough that we've gone to an out-of-game system for handling waiver claims.

Ditto everything that's been said, this is brutal for trying to run an online league as even version 6 had no issues with waiver claims.

In our league, Oakland placed Scott Rolen on irrevocable waivers. Tampa Bay claimed him, the waiver days expired, and Rolen never moved. Same league, irrevocable waivers, no change. What am I missing?

I figured out today that one issue is that if a team does not have the 40-man space, the waiver claim will not process. In 6.5, I don't believe this was a requirement so that could be the problem.

It would seem that teams should have the option to make the move after the player has been claimed, but that's just a guess.

I am also having trouble with wavier claims. I am playing solo and have the worst record, my claims are accepted but at the end of the waiver period the player just goes into the free agent pool

this is happening in one of my online leagues as well. I almost quit the league because of this issue.

I know it will never be fixed in the current versions, but I hope it can get corrected in OOTP9.

Was it an irrevocable waiver? If not it's possible (but strange) that the team pulled him back and released him

I know that this is being discussed and will hopefully be addressed in the next version of the game.
