Didn't one of the earlier incarnations of this venerable game have a wizard for creating fighters? How hard could it be says the guy who thinks programming is thumbing through the TV Guide. Cap

I just installed the update. Other than the .28 at the bottom of the screen, that's the only visible difference. Either way, no problems with the Game Play.
Of all the possible changes that may occur, I think having the right color guys (Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, etc.) represented in the graphic display is the one I'm looking forward to the most. |

Random fighter generator is definitely on the list, what I'd like to do is to be able to dictate certain ratings and then have the generator put in the rest. For example .. If I know I want a certain fighter to be a 4 rated overall fighter but I want him to be a slugger with good power .. then I set OVR at 4, HP at 7 and put him as a slugger .. then the generator fills in all the other ratings.

I realise I should have put a smiley in my post. Please note the use of the word RUDIMENTARY though. I've done my share of programming. Randomly assigning numbers within a set range is dead easy. (Or was back when I was doing it. This was seven years ago.) I created a dice rolling program called "Dumb Dice". It's still out there on the net somewhere.
What would be ideal is to specify a range, or specify a certain number of points to allocate across all areas. The code to randomly create players already exists in the OOTP codebase. I wonder how hard that'd be to convert to TBCB? |

Due to a bad boot sector, I had to reload everything and reset my license. I took a gamble and loaded this version - works fine.
My big, big wish is for batch change - specifically, being able to change more than one fighter's "Career" setting at a time. |

I don't have Excel. Plus we already have a random fighter generator of sorts. The problem is it doesn't export in a format TBCB can import. That's the big issue.

When I run the auto scheduler in batch mode, I now see that all of the Cut Men and Trainer assignments have been stripped, leading to an exceedingly irritating "No Cut Man GUID found!" and "No Trainer GUID found!" for every single fighter on the list. Clicking through 4 error messages per bout in a 200 bout schedule was a true test of endurance, let me tell you. It is conceivable, given that I just reloaded from scratch, that the problem could be mine. But just in case, I've noted it here. |

That's an ugly one but at least fixable. Back in the early stages of my universe (3,000 or so active fighters at the time) I had to go through each and every one to find the few that were not assigned a cutman or set to random. It took forever! Since then, I fill everything in as I bring fighters into the universe without exception (of course that doesn't help you).
I'll point Andreas to your post but wish I could do more Matt.

1) All fighters are assigned cutmen and trainers and 2) All those cutmen and trainers are in the game (note that they need to be correctly listed as cutman or cornerman accordingly {or least 'both'} ) and you are still getting that message, there may be a bigger issue. I notified Andreas so hopefully he will look at this for you when is next here.

Have you tried to replicate my situations to see if it might be a new version issue? |

I have to admit that I haven't done the big back up here on my main files to try it wih the stuff that I know best. Will do that back up overnight and also try to replicate this tomorrow on the other computer.

That's cool - just wondering if I could fix my problem by reverting to the earlier version - if that is even possible at this point...

Hm... Did you do anything special? I cannot reproduce that problem.
