yo
I'm new so maybe this/these are in the game and I'm just missing them.......
but as a new player there's a couple of obvious things that it seems the game is missing. When wanting to designate your players as available or on the block it appears that you have to click on each player, then click on the action button and then click the status you want to set. It would be IMMENSELY easier to have all players come up on one page and on that page have a dropdown list by each that you could just set as 'untouchable' or 'available'. It could be titled 'trade page' or 'player trade status page' or something like that... where you could just input the status for everyone at one time basically. Another thing I don't see or understand when 'shopping' a player is why you can't shop more than 1 at a time. If I want to include 2 players in a deal I have to manually go out and offer trades, instead of putting 2 players in a deal and then shopping that around. Just a couple of things that I think would make the game better and easier to handle. |

I just thought about this one today. I wish there was a feature that allowed you to set Logos, Uniforms, Stadiums, team colors, etc throughout baseball history. Sort of like a database, so that when doing a historical replay, they will automatically change for you instead of having to change them every year.
My other suggestion would be a World Baseball Classic feature, but I figure that it would fall under the major changes category |

I would like to see minor league teams change affiliation at random under a strict set of guidelines. For instance, if a minor league team doesn't meet a certain quota of developing young players into quality pros then the AI would release the minor league team.
Another feature I would like to see is teams changing cities randomly based on performance in solo fictional leagues. In both of these cases I would hope that they were setup conservatively so that you didn't get massive amounts of moves but rather a slow trickle of moves over decades.

Sheesh, you guys have a hard time following orders, doncha?
"If you could have ONE new feature..." You have to choose one! The intent is NOT to turn this into "here are all of the things I'd like to change." Thanks! Steve |

More flexible playoffs (double elimination, world playoffs,etc.). This is a big one for alot of us.
EDIT: Upon further review, this might be considered a major change. But I wanted to throw this out there .

Fully functional draft pick trading, and with draft picks for the next 5 drafts available to trade, ala FOF.

I would like to see the following implemented;
"Compare players side by side" I would like the ability to compare two players side by side. This would be useful when drafting, looking at FA's, waivers, ect. And I don't think it would take a lot to do with regards to coding . What will the comparison show? Well, if at all possible make it customizable to where we can either compare stats, ratings, potential, ect. The screen would be split showing one player on the right and another on the left. What do ya think?! |

I really like the new Minor League report in the team home page section where you can see recommendations for moving players up/down in your system. I wish this could be incorporated into the transaction screen with color coding or arrows. for example:
"Probably overmatched atr AA" - light red "Not ready for AA" - dark red "Probably ready for AAA" - light green "Ready for AAA" - dark green Maybe this could be activated via a tab on the transaction screen. I like to personally oversee every level of my minor league system and this would save a lot of time - now I am writing the information on a piece of paper while reading the minor league report and then going back to the transaction screen. |

Something I would like to see would be the ability to lock all AI controlled teams batting orders and pitching rotations, while still giving keeping the AI in control of everything else. Obviously, the AI would need to over ride this in certain situations, (injuries, etc.), but this would be good for people who want to play out the entire 2007 season, and have as close to real life lineups as possible.

1- It was mentioned earlier, but I love the "shop player" feature, being able to shop 2-3 players at once would be nice.
2- When taking over an expansion team in an historical league can you hold the expansion draft the year they begin instead of right after the World Series the year before. Reason being is, you have to sim a whole season before you take the team or you miss the expansion draft. Game is great thaks to all involved |
