What kind of troubleshooting have you done? Have you tried importing a different year?
I don't have access to the code, obviously, but it would be interesting to see what the import process is doing at the 25% mark. |

What is the full path where you have your lahman database saved?
Is there anything weird about your install, such as you chose to install it on the E: drive, or anything like that? I'm grasping at straws here. This is bizarre. |

no. fairly easy to dl and install. made a folder in C drive named Stats and extracted everything into the folder. Then opened game and opened up historical wizard and ingame opened c/stats, clicked master, then confirmed and tried to open db and then game closes.

I'm very sorry we haven't been able to figure this out.
Based on where we are, I'm feeling more and more certain that there's something in your environment that is conflicting somehow with this process. The fact that anotify.exe errored out initially bothers me greatly. Additionally, the second error message you posted doesn't really indicate that it's OOTP, at least not in the way we typically see when OOTP crashes.I'm not sure I know enough to walk you through this, but I think at this point I would start looking at disabling things in startup through Start|Run|msconfig or some other utility. Basically, I'd try to disable as many things from the system tray as possible - antivirus, anything down there - not permanently, but just as a troubleshooting step. My first suggestion would be to disable anything AOL-related from startup and give it a try again, since we have at least some empirical evidence that AOL is unhappy. But, if you're not comfortable with this sort of thing, I'm not sure where to go next... Curious - the ootp.log you posted earlier is what I was looking for, but is that just from starting up? I'd be interested to see what it does if you start the game and proceed through a historical creation until the league crashes. (Perhaps that's already what you did, and it just doesn't log much.) Thanks, Steve |

Baseballr,
I've gone ahead and logged this issue as TT # 3149. We'll see if Markus can figure out anything about this. But, just to be forewarned, I really do suspect that there's something on your system outside of OOTP that is conflicting with this process somehow... ![]() Thanks, Steve |
