Not sure I quite understand this, I thought that 100 was the highest level someone could be rated at.

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

This was an old feature from 6.5. The basic scale is 1-100, but sometimes players would be astronomical, and they would be rated over 100. Typically, the game would just consider these all as "100s", but there was an option to display the actual 100+ numerical value.

- Added the ability to directly set the size of the amateur draft pool, seperate from the # of draft rounds
- Added the ability to reimport the names database
- Added the ability to reimport the injuries database
- Added a nation editor
- Added options for keeping past news/injury/transactions logs for X years. By default none are kept in order to save disk space.
- Added a player stats import & export function
- SISA is now more accurate and no longer returns blank ratings for certain players
- Added the option to display ratings above the selected scale (i.e. 100+)
- Added fielding stats to the "views" dropdown of a player list
- Added leagues to the "stats scope" dropdown of a player list
- The game remembers the settings & name when creating a human manager, and uses them when creating a new game
Would you please make optionalble the opening pool of FA's? Something like: none, few, some, many. If the game is again going to start in January it isnt realistic to have no good players remaining in the FA pool.

I think I'm wondering about the same thing. I'm having a difficult time recalling which ones exactly, but there were some files before (I think they were the nations and names files, but maybe others as well) that once you created a league in OOTP2006 that you were stuck with that data for the life of the league, that you couldn't just edit them anytime you wanted to like you could with OOTP6 and previously. That mention of reimporting sounds like it might make this OOTP2006 limitation a thing of the past. Is that correct or does it mean something else? I hope so, because it was things like that that made you take forever in creating a league and not just go ahead and play a year or two because you couldn't just edit things and keep the history, you had to start the league all over.

Outstanding additions! Thank you Markus
<O</O
Just a couple of questions:

<O</OIt's probably self-explanatory, but what precisely will we be able to edit with the Nation Editor? Is it just for editing simple things, like a nation's flag & population statistics, or will we be able to do more advanced editing, like assigning specific name sets to a nation without having to edit the corresponding txt files?

<O</OAlso, will the editor allow us to create new nations, or to simply edit existing ones?

<O</OThanks!

Whoops! I didn't see this post before I asked my questions. These questions cover more ground more concisely regarding the nation editor than mine did. I hope these get answered.

I have never yet (five tries) had a game start without good free agents available. My problem was that the AI teams allowed me to pick up all the good FAs for free (often for minor league contracts).

I just want to be absolutely certain that I understand this correctly: We now have the ability to once again edit name files on the fly, provided we reimport them back into the DB?

I thought this was changed with one of the patches?

For those of you excited about the stats importer/exporter you are all very welcome. I have badgered, nagged and harrassed Markus for 6-7 months on this one and we finally figured out the best way to go about making it happen.

That's pretty neat. There were lots of nations last time around with a "Baseball Quality" rating of "Non-Existent" when that actually isn't true. Now I have the power to fix such errors

What would be even neater would be if over time, when you put a baseball league in a country, if that country's "Baseball Quality" rating increased.
