I heard a trade rumor that Matt Murton will be sent to the Brewers for Carlos Lee. Any truth to that Cubby fans?

Some BIGGGGGG IFs:
IF Prior and Wood can get 25+ starts and IF the Cubs find another good bat plus a better than average bat the Cubs have a chance I love my Cubbies, but this false hope stuff is killer. |

It was 7-2 Reds with Lee up to bat and Lee popped it up in foul grounds, very easy catch for the Catcher, Russ, dropped it allowing Lee to get some more looks in which he took advantage of by hitting a 2-run jack! 7-4 and we're back into the ball game.

All right, top of eight we go after getting out of that inning; Dunn led off with a double and nothing come of it. Dunn made another silly play almost. The Cubs pitcher was going to throw to second to try and pick him off but he held from throwing but Dunn was on his way to second and stumbled about eight feet past the base and nearly got thrown out.. lol That guy is just clumsy as hell.

A little ROFFLE as Todd Coffey comes into the game SPRINTING to the mound. He looked like he was struggling a little bit on his way, but that was quite interesting.
Lee couldn't connect with the perfect pitch to crank. Popped it up instead. Then Aramis hits one to the fence in right, so we'll have to rely on the 5,6, 7 hitters in the 9th to tie/win the game. |

The bottom of the 8th inning is what KILLED us all year last year, lets see if we can actually keep it a close game allowing a chance to tie it up in the 9th..
Last season I knew it was over in the 8th if we didn't take a lead since we'd give up a few runs making it a 4 or 5 run deficit to come back from in the 9th rather than a 1 run... I'm rambling.. tell me to stfu. |

5-1 over the Redbirds today. Nice.
Maddux pitches well, and the bullpen does its job, which is a nice change.
