Pack it up and see ya Sunday night. It's time to sit the weekend out and have a re-think. |

Greenland had their first OL series ever last night and went 3-1 against the Baltimore Barons, we'll be playing another 4 game series again tonight though so I hope I'll be able to keep my luck going.

Mount Hawke hanging in there and rode their luck a bit with a couple of extra innings wins over Colorado Springs.
Claptown and Colorado Springs are done, the Stars and Tinners play each other 10 times, and the Caddies and Tortugas play 6. |

Silver league:
North Bay and (surprisingly) Waffletown tied atop the OL standings, with Aomori just a couple thousandths behind. Syrups are done with their OL schedule, so the final month of Aomori-Auckland-North Bay will decide the crown. Overall, Aomori and North Bay in a battle for the AC West division, with one getting the division crown and the other securing the top wild card. Los Angeles hit a slump and has dropped 9.5 back of a wild card spot (but plenty clear of relegation)... and in the division no one wants to win, Waffletown has moved into the lead to potentially give OL 3 teams in the post season (and thus three teams moving up to Gold as it appears every playoff team is getting promoted). |

Bronze
Savannah's OL season came to an end on July 31. August saw the Deckers rising from third to second place as Holy City was swept by Aceldama. Savannah has the opportunity to ascend even further as league leader, Fort Davis, has 10 OL games left on their schedule. However, an Austin sweep would tie the Deckers with Austin, while either Holy City or Aceldama could sweep their 4-game series and rise above the Deckers. And, of course, the Waves could also hang on to capture their first OL23 title.
While Holy City still has the chance to win it all, they are also solidly in relegation with the Wierdos on the edge. SaukCenter, in the basement of OL B209 and with no chance for the title, is the only OL team with a shot at the playoffs. The Landsharks are currently tied for the second NC wildcard slot. |

Mevagissey* maintains a healthy lead in OL St122, but nine OL games remain on the schedule for the Madder Do Ees, while second-place Long Beach has 12 OL games left.
Both Mevagissey and Port Ruppert are in playoff position. No OL teams will be relegated. * As previously noted, the team with the official name of "Madder Do Ees" is from Mevagissey, which is part of the Madder Do Ees official logo. Big 3-game series coming up for North Bay @ Aomori in Silver with both the OL series and Division lead on the line. Aomori has 6 more games in OL vs Auckland, who have a smaller chance to contend, but a terrific chance to spoil. Looks to me like a nail-biter!

I'm not sure how I got promoted to Bronze this season. I somehow snuck into the Iron playoffs last season because I finished first in the weakest division and lost to the wildcard team. It's been a struggle in bronze, but I had a feeling that would happen.
It's partly my fault because I've been limiting myself to bronze cards only, with the exception of one gold and two silvers that I receive in my initial packs. I built a really good offense in Iron, but they're getting destroyed by the Bronze league pitchers. Pitching has been my weakness in both leagues, so that will be my focus for next season. I'm trying something different in PT23... building up the best bronze-card team I can construct, then I'll upgrade to the best silver-card team I can build. Then I'll probably start trying to complete live missions. Not sure if this is a smart strategy, but it's kind of fun taking my time. Enjoying OL so far. Not entirely sure how all of it works, but I'm pretty happy if I finish middle of the pack this season. |

I haven't opened any additional packs yet either, only picking up stuff from the auction house. Have about 90 saved up at the moment, so that's going to be really fun to open at some point.
Where do you get those PT banners in your signatures? |

The Coney Island Warriors have been kicking around rookie league for a couple of weeks now. Since they have been in every version of PT I decided to bring them back. They will be ready for OL play the week of June 6th. I have done nothing with them other than log in to collect points or packs. I wont be completing missions or playing tournaments so its just going to be what I earn from packs or purchase with points I have earned. I am leaning towards a team of players from 1965-1985 but it depends on points and what is available.
Coney Island Warriors Edster007 I will stop back next Sunday and let you know I am ready. |

Aomori Bakemonotachi Logos
Attached all three logo art. The black circle is the main team logo, the green circle is the alt/small, and central image of Gojira toasting the marshmallow is the third file. Use whichever you think is best, should the need arise.

When I started the Barons-OL this version my goal was "to reach Gold and stay there". As a result of some good initial card pulls, a couple great achievements, and a couple lucky Card Shop finds, I managed to get into Silver Level week #1 - into Gold Level week #3, and it looks like I'll be in Gold again in week #4.
Unless I'm mistaken, that's defined as "reaching Gold and staying there", right? Ok, ok, I know we've got 40+ weeks to go, but I certainly can't complain at this point. From here on out, things will be tough, though, keeping up with all the other teams improving their rosters, so the best thing to do is try my best right now to get to Diamond so the long, long downhill slide will at least start from a higher altitude, LOL. As a sidenote; my other two teams are card packs only and "ALL" card types (not OL) - letting the missions complete naturally (at this point anyway). Cleveland Greys, Rookie .75, 89-66, 1st Place, chance for Stone, but they're right on the edge with 7 games left. And the Rochester Classics, Stone .126, 77-77, 2nd Place, maybe a wildcard spot. These two teams are probably more respective of the typical start in Perfect Team - slow and painful. On to week #4 !! |

Savannah captures the OL B209 title. Austin swept their only September OL series against Fort Davis to tie the Deckers, but Savannah's 4-0 record over the Wierdos handed them their first OL23 title.
Holy City will be relegated. Only SaukCentre advances to the playoffs. |

Mount Hawke led all the way to claim the first Iron crown of '23!
The 3 teams in the NC half of the playoffs will hopefully by vying to meet the Tinners in the finals. Good luck everyone! All 4 that made the playoffs will be promoted. |
