Essentially, the card does not exist in the auction house; there is only a display image with some data that is tied to the card. In order for the splits and other card details to be shown, the card would need to exist in the user's local file and be downloaded each time that a user logs on. This would be time-consuming for both the user and storing all the cards would require a lot of extra space on the servers.
Sounds like it would be smart for the clients to download the full list of cards one time and then update as needed.

It would be nice if we could still view last seasons results. I last saw I was up 3-1 in the LCS yesterday but didn't get back on to the computer until this morning. Now all I can see is I qualified for the playoffs with no clue how I actually finished.

Money Spending cap

I haven't fleshed this out really, but I think it would be nice to have maybe 3 different type of leagues:

League A - no $ spending. Do the best you can with what you've got
League B - $50 spending limit.
League C - no spending limit.

to me it feels to unbalanced right now, with mostly those that spend the most getting most of the wins. Maybe someone has a better idea on this

Quality of Life improvements

-The ability to mass select players to sell/discard would be such a great addition. I don't have to explain how time consuming it is now to do so.

-The ability to lock a card so that you can not sell it or discard.

-The ability to change volume for pack openings.

-The ability to create leagues with friends

-Full list of player data base

-Review last seasons standings and stats.

With that being said, this game is amazing and the people behind it have done an great job putting out such a fun and addicting product. Thank You to everyone that has had their hand in this.

Happy New Year.

any way to make the "all time" categories on the 'streaks' report to actually show the real all-time records for that league? Or would that end up eating too much space after awhile? (and while on the streaks subject, any way that the individual player's streaks tab can show their all time best in the 'ended' section, and not just for the current season?)

Right now if I click on the streaks report, the 'all time' section just reflects the current season (and I doubt the all time hitting streak for this silver league is 5 games after 4 years of play )

would be interesting to see if there have been any Dimaggio-like hitting streaks or the like as you jump from level to level, or even just switching leagues in the same level from season to season.

It has been said countless times that no such thing will ever be introduced.

Mainly because it would prevent players who change their mind about spending money if they're tied to a league-type that doesn't allow it. I imagine there are a lot of managers in that boat.

"I'm never going to spend a dime!"

two weeks later...

"I'm sick of losing, maybe I'll just spend $20 and splurge on the AH"

two weeks later...

"Kids, I'm sorry, but mommy and daddy are getting a divorce. Dad spent thousands of dollars of your college funds just to buy a virtual baseball card."

Well what if the limit is by color. So if you're in bronze, then the highest color that can be bought is silver.
In silver, max is gold etc.

I don't know. Just looking for a way to balance it a little bit.

I don't understand why there's so much hostility over the spending of money in the game...

My best guess remains malicious envy, but nobody would ever admit that.

Just wondering, but is there a suggestions/wishlist thread for new cards? There are 2 players I'd really like to see in the game. Cheers!

Not sure if this is where achievement suggestions should go, but there is currently no achievement for hitting an inside the park homerun and there definitely should be.

Assign DH to Backup Field Position

It would be nice if you could assign the DH as a backup field player in saved lineups instead of having to name a third player.

For instance, your DH plays First Base and you'd like him to play First Base if your starting First Baseman is tired; then the secondary DH could be the DH for that game. Similarly, you could set 'every x game' frequency to the DH playing that position.

The way it is now, assigning a player to DH excludes them from being a backup field player and requires an additional player to pick up that role.

This would be a useful feature in OOTP AI as well.

Grand Slam?

Perhaps an achievement for hitting a grand slam? Seems it should be worth a few extra points.

Minor suggestion on Potential Ratings, which are not part of PT. PT does still allow you to sort by Potential Rating, which is identical to regular rating. E.g., in the Lineups or Pitching screens, you can sort by Batting Rating, Pitch Rating, etc.

Maybe these sort options should be removed to avoid confusion?

Larger question: why is player development disabled, anyway? It's one of the most fun aspects of regular OOTP. I suppose it would be seen as unfair if you spend 100K PPs on a card only to see the player decay? (I imagine the same rationale applies to injuries?)

PT is designed to not need game to game management so that it's not necessary to be tied to the game for 14 hours per day every day to be the best. You can set your lineup and leave it for as long as you want and nothing super disastrous should ever happen.

Info about How Acquired

Suggestion:

Perhaps you could add an entry in the Player's History tab that states the date acquired and how they were acquired:

Examples:

1/1/2023 - Acquired in Standard Pack
1/2/2023 - Acquired in Auction for 123 Perfect Points

This would be useful for tracking how you acquired a player and what you paid for them. I find myself looking through the transaction log searching for this information.

A related suggestion would be to be able to export/save the transaction history to a file so that a manager could review off line or import into excel to track roster cost, etc.

Thanks!

My suggestion is to allow perfect team owners to have gimmick games, maybe a certain number per season. They could give them a name of their choosing, make the event a different color on the game calendar, and input a picture of some sort maybe that displays somewhere maybe in the upcoming games.

I was trying to think of something for the owners to do instead of the usual set your lineup and just sit routine. My second suggestion is to allow the owners to activate a random happening email that goes out to the league with the results of the random chance. The code is already in the single player game for most of that. Maybe the random chance would have to be earned somehow or cost PP.

My last suggestion is world series or playoff awards. Making the playoffs and being shuffled off afterward to another season doesn't seem very special.

A subscription suggestion: For 39000 points, you receive 1 pack delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning for 52 weeks. That's a 75% discount and you get a pack just in time for the September push. Who knows what you'll get? But, wait, that's not all.... There's a 1 in 10 chance your pack will be a gold pack!
