OOTP FaceTool - Page 19

Even though I can work around it, every time I use FaceTool, I get a message saying that it appears to be the first time I've used the program, and I get the error message about the failed attempt to create the alias database. I've alread opened a league, set a couple of photos, and then closed the league. So obviously I've used the program already. But I keep getting these messages every time I load it again.

This was answered earlier. The shortcut is missing this from the Start in field: "C:\Program Files\OOTP FaceTool"

Either add that to the shortcut, re-create it or just launch it from the .exe and it works fine.

Yes players are present. I think the problem is that I'm importing a 6.5 league. When I use facetool with a 2006 generated league it works fine. I am able to generate pics for each player. I just can't set custom uniforms for each team.

Hey guys. Great utility.

When I run the program, I select the whole universe but only players on the big league roster are getting pics. Is this normal?

when i try to call load a league, i get this message:

Path not found
File: C:\program files\facetool\data\pdoxusrs.lck

im not even sure what pdoxusrs.lck is.

anyone know what this means

FaceTool requires the Borland Data Engine in order to store information about players, uniforms, hair, etc. in a PARADOX database. I believe pdoxusrs.lck is a BDE-created file that allows you to access the PARADOX db. From all of the (many) errors you've encountered, it sounds like there is something messed up about the Borland Data Engine installation on your machine. I don't have any great ideas about how you can fix that, except to refer you to the Borland website: http://info.borland.com/devsupport/bde/

For whatever reason, every time I install, I am told that none of my hard drives have sufficient space for the Borland Data Engine. (More tha 100GB of space is available). If I choose to install anyway, it looks as though it is installing, but Face Tool always fails to open any of my league files.

I have a problem. With previous leagues it has worked fine, but i'm trying to use facetool on my latest league and its giving me a very long error message when I try to load the league.

Absolutely brilliant. I submit this tool as a nominee for the Best Mod Created For Any Game Ever award.

I play mainly fictional leagues, and this gives me a whole new level of enjoyment of OOTP 2006. SI should pay you to let them include it in 2007.

Change the default setting for the csv dump so that it doesnt use commas. Might be your problem.

Where are you seeing this version number? It may be deliberate, as the program is still in development. What specific problems are you having?

One thing you need to be sure to do is add C:\Program Files\OOTP FaceTool to the shortcut properties entry for Start In. Otherwise you get error messages and other annoyances.

Well I spoke too soon. Now I get an error message "could not convert variant of type (null) into type (integer)".
