Speaking of which, I found 2 more good cards that qualify for my Senators team: Harlond Clift and Ryne Duren. Clift is a 93 OVR but the hitting on the card looks pretty terrible. Looking at his real-life stats from that year, he had an OPS+ of 140 and hit .306. I doubt there's any way the card hits over .300. But hey, he can be a Senator!

As I get ready to head to the Pacific Northwest I tried to find the Knights some help even expanding the search to late 60's and early 80's cards with no luck. The team is hovering around the relegation zone but generating the most pp they every have in one season since EL and I have no place to spend it.

Washington remains in control of the OL league as Green Lake makes a push to close the gap.

overall picture.... In the AC East, Cincinnati holds on to a 3 game lead for the division title; while Washington continues to cruise along in the AC West with the best record in the league at 76-31 and a massive 24 game lead over 2nd place Seattle. In the NC East, Transylvania lurks just a half game back of the division lead; Roncalli continues their one step forward/one step backwards play as they remain in 5th place; and in the NC West, Green Lake has extended their division lead to 5 games as they hope to leave Cooper and Waffletown to battle for a wild card spot, and Luckenbach slides back into potential relegation territory as they slip below the .400 mark

Re: the Auction House. While I'm finding a few decent deals, a lot of people seem to be pricing cards as though the mad rush to complete collections is in full swing. So I've learned to be pretty patient in "just saying no" to wildly overpriced cards.

I assume Wilbur Wood is part of a collection? I’ve seen prices for his card the last week or two between 17-50k

There's no question in my mind that your team's theme song HAS to be "Put Me In Coach" by John Fogarty. So I searched for Fogarty and found these images, an artist created for him, so the team name should be the Bayou Gators!

I think a lot of White Sox players are in the multi-collection mission, so pretty much anyone who's ever played for CWS is expensive. I just sold an 84 OVR Nellie Fox I'd had for a while for 10k.

I would probably be on the PT version of "Hoarders". I can't bring myself to take anyone other than duplicates to the Auction House. Even cards that are worth a lot. That I will never play. That won't be finishing any mission for me. Just can't do it.

Yes, he is. I also found one that wasn't yesterday and quickly snapped him up to complete said collection. As a result, 91 OVR Dick Allen is now the starting first baseman of the South Side Lumber Company. And 89 OVR Wilbur is the new team ace.

sort of doing the same here.... other than the two live diamond cards I've sold (hard to pass up that extra 25K in points for team upgrades), I've kept everything else and just send any duplicates to the AH....

try to keep my reserve roster limited to cards listed as 1945 or earlier, and everything else is sent to the inactive list

They see one copy of a card on the AH buy it then immediately jack up the price. Not cool.

In fairness, full completion of the CWS collection is worth like 800k. Those cards might just be worth that price now.
