This is what I get for not having beta testing......

Funny, Florida's sched has the May 2nd game but Atl's doesn't. I was wrong it doesn't belong there...oops.

By the way, I did a retest and ANA and BAL ended up with 163 games played......as I was about to rip my hair out I noticed they had a 1 game playoff at the end of the season....go figure

By the way, the schedule is fixed and reposted. Thanks for pointing out those errors LGO.

Sorry to come in and point out a few more typos - really, your work compiling this is quite appreciated!

On 6/12 there is one line 133,7,30,4 that should be 163,7,30,4

Likewise on 8/27 there are several lines beginning with 269 that should instead begin with 239.

I only found those things running the schedule through the same process I have used helping LGO with the historical schedules.

One thing to throw out for discussion is having the now Washington franchise taking the same ID number in the file as Montreal would have had. On one hand that is perfect if all a person does is take a league just through 2004 and simply on the Team Setup screen for the franchise changing the name from Montreal to Washington.

The historical schedules are all set up with the teams in alphabetical order by city name within each division, but to get the team ID numbers within the game to rearrange to fit that scheme in this case one would need to go under Edit League Structure and do something trivial like switch the now Washington franchise with itself. Then rather than being #17 it would be #19, with NYN & PHI both bumping up one slot from #18 & #19 to #17 & #18. Perhaps a version of the file with the team ID numbers changed like that could also be made.

Does that make sense?

That makes sense, but my head is spinning having to go thru the sched and switch all the numbers around. You've seen the errors I make man!!!

What you can do relatively quickly is in a text editor use the "Replace All" function a few times consecutively. Replace ",17," with ",XX," so Montreal/Washington is temporarily given a placeholder. Then replace ",18," with ",17," to move NYN up one, then replace ",19," with ",18," to move PHI up one, then finally replace ",XX," with ",19," to move MON/WSH to its final spot.

Here you go!!

This is 2005 MLB version 2 with NYN, PHI and WAS with rearranged team ids.

Note this schedule, is made assuming you've edited your league structure to keep the NLE division in alphabetical order. IE you moved NYN and PHI up a slot and WAS down below them.

Khan, don't worry about a few typos. Given all the keystrokes involved, having that few is a very good level of accuracy. Considering all the keystrokes I've done in compiling the major league schedules, and many minor league ones, it's unavoidable that there are going to be a few here and there.

Anyway, having looked at the matchups in the 2005 schedule, it's interesting that a new firm was responsible for the schedule this year. I say that because the matchups are even more skewed this time than they have been the last few years, especially when it comes to the number of games played in total against divisional rivals. I'm going to make a post about that in the Talk Sports forum shortly.

Thanks for the support!! Anyways, I like doing stuff like that just so I can add more variety to the schedules I'm using in my own career league.

There are now 2 versions available using GMO's suggestion for historical schedules. I think they're ok now , no more bugs that I can see.

If possible, can you please make a schedule with two leagues, one league has 8 teams, the second league has 6 teams. The 8 league team plays 112 games, 16 games against each team, and the 6 team league plays 110 games, 22 games against each team. Balanced schedules, no all star game, and the season starts in June.

30 team, 162 game schedules

2 leagues, 3 divisions per league, 5 teams per division
80 games in the division (20 per opponent)
60 interdivision games (6 per opponent)
22 interleague games

The three different versions of the schedule are for variations on interleague play. Of the 22 games, 16 are against the whole of one division. So the 3 versions rotate the bulk of the interleague matchups among the 3 divisions.

Ah, 154 game schedules. I'm just too attached to the 162 I don't do anything else unless specifically requested. Maybe if MLB cuts back to 154 I could change too.

It may be a just bit before I could attack these requests, here's a few tiny questions.

162 games run about first of Apr to first of Oct, do you prefer 154 to start a week later or end a week earlier?

How balanced or unbalanced (more divisional games) would you like?

For the 24 teams, you did not specify interleague there, so do you want it and if so how much would you like - a lot, just one series against teams of one division, home & away series against one division?

I haven't tried juggling any numbers yet, so there may be some that make things work out better or easier. But I can at least open the door to suggestions in the meantime.

For the 28 team, are both leagues in the order 5,5,4 as far as teams per division?
