August recap:

Lager League: Pilsner Division - Tree House Tornado - living up to their nickname, Tree House tore through the competition in August like a tornado, posting an impressive 20-7 record for the month to give them a 4 game cushion at the top of the division.

Lager League: Kolsch Division - Scorched Earth Giant Killer - after a hot start to the summer in June (20-7), the Giant Killer had another scorching month in August (20-8) to give them (what they hope) is a near insurmountable lead in the division at 16 games, as they head into the final month of the regular season.

Lager League: Helles Division - Ballast Point Commodores - despite back-to-back sub-par months (9-14 in July; 12-16 in August), the Commodores still hold a fairly solid 7 game lead in the division (as the other four teams had equally bad or worse months in August).

Lager League: Tripel Division - Texas Leaguer Chin Music - riding a stellar month of August (23-6), including a 15 game winning streak, Texas Leaguer rode their hottest month yet to the top of the pack, and now lead the division by 6 games.

Stout League: Porter Division - Terrapin Hopsecutioner - in the division that no one wanted to win earlier this season, Terrapin has left the rest of the opposition in their dust after posting a 23-4 record in August, to give themselves a league-wide best 16.5 game lead in the division.

Stout League: Dunkel Division - Chafunkta Kingfish / Rabid Dwarves of Doom - In the closest all around division fight, with all five teams within 10 games of the lead, Chafunkta and Rabid find themselves tied atop the standings (both barely above the .500 mark with records of 66-63). At this point, the division title is anyone's game.

Stout League: Eisbock Division - Russian River Blind Pig - the pigs may be blind, but they are still finding the wins, as Russian River is currently riding an 8 game win streak to end the month and put themselves at the top of the division standings with a 4 game cushion.

Stout League: Altbier Division - Odious Cellars Rubied Perspective - riding a solid 19-9 record through August, Odious Cellars vaulted to the top of the standings (helped by an 8 game skid from Tattered Flag, and 5 game skid by Thimble Island).
