I wonder if they changed placement algorithm

I have noticed that neither gold nor diamond has been paired with other leagues (DLL, BFF) in the past several seasons. I wonder if they changed their algorithm for placement in one of their patches?

Could be. I also noticed up to 14 OL teams can now be together - I think that was limited to 8 before.

Without question, IMO, and it's appreciated! I suspect that the 2 lots of Diamond teams last week were treated as 2 separate friend groups. Maybe Cary are the glue that's turned them into 1 group this week?

There's actually 15 in Silver this week! Is that an OL record?

Finally, it was a rematch between the Penguins and Perfectos in the eliminator for the final wilcard spot. In the end, it was another tough loss for Satchel Paige, with Lemp Ave.'s Adam Wainwright and co. shutting Algoma down 1-0. A Pujols RBI double in the 4th being the winning run.

And so, Lemp Ave. join Waffletown and Coney Island in the playoffs. Good luck guys, and commiserations to Algoma!
Thanks for the nice write up. Really appreciated. Wow, that certainly was a lot of drama I missed. Congrats to all and especially to Coney Island for being promoted. Algoma (with their owner out of town) met together as a team and worked out a plan to move forward--they are now 11-2 to start this season.

I highly doubt that will continue next week as my teams' "MO" is play like a champion in Bronze and not show up the next week in Silver, only to get regulated back down to Bronze....and repeat!

Cheers Quinta, I had to try to write a decent summary of such a climax!

So many teams are well stocked with pov-meta SE cards. The levels are even less dynamic than last year, and the meta cards are steadily working their way down through the levels. I don't think there's that much difference between Silver and Gold at this point.

Our packs teams need a crazy amount of luck to keep up with that!

Paxville's best recruitment from a pull in the last 2-3 months is gold Tuck Turner... That's crazy bad, not crazy good!

I was 9 points shy for Joe Mauer when the mission dropped (I'm sure the AI will make me wait months to complete that, if the live update doesn't do it for me).

Diamond League

A slow start to OL, which is probably a good thing for some of the teams

I should be able to do a slightly smaller Gold this week. Brewers and Mundys are often to really hot start. Penguins had a hot start until Mundys showed them what for. The teams are spread out but there will be enough games for all.

One could argue that Silver is THE place to be for OL this week, with 15 teams competing for the OL S332 title. Keystone, champions of Bronze in 2047, continue their strong play into 2048.

Hard to argue against! Good luck with your count-ups .

Knockemstiff are finding wins hard to come by in Diamond.

Picked up Jimmie Foxx after finishing off the team#3 west missions….

So far in 7 games he’s 2-for-32 with no home runs and 1 rbi…. Lol…. Gonna be a long season

Diamond League

Cary are looking pretty strong so far, but I'm sure Annandale will push them! Quite a tough league.

Here is a look. I should be able to post finals on Sunday but I am still waiting for my travel itinerary for Sunday. If someone can cover it I would appreciate it.

A relatively light OL schedule but there is a very close 3-way race brewing between Port Ruppert, Lemp Ave, and Silly Mad.

One OL division leader (Silly Mad) and a bunch in wild card races. I would be remiss if I did not note the once 20-3 Algoma Penguins have gone 9-22 since ("it was the best of times, it was the blurst of times . . .").

South Holland on top. While the mass of teams in the NC beat up on each other, der Dutchmen and Keystone have leveraged lighter schedules to lead OL S332.

I hate this week's league. I want my contending window back. After a few weeks of pushing for perfect we're back in relegation hell and I hate it. Anti-Magus RNG!

Yeah, I'm not mad keen on it, either . Not so much anti-Tinkerman RNG, as simply being over-matched on most rolls of the dice. I've just got to suck it up
