That's exactly what they want, for you to blow your points on packs. I say give'em a good ol' s***burger. Nobody should be voluntarily blowing their points on packs at this point unless they are a pack-only squad and have no choice, especially since they are so irredeemably bad. All opening packs will do is make you want to quit sooner because of the never-ending flow of garbage you will get from them. Nothing good, nothing useful, just rotten live garbage on an infinite loop.

Boy, do I know that song.

Other than following OL, I've been working on putting together my 6th(!) UBA replay in Classic OOTP - this time with an expansion from 8 to 12 teams.

In OL, I got a lucky boost recently with Gettysburg, landing a few top-end cards. Currently riding that wave of success, but ...

Last year I pretty much lost interest in "non-OL Perfect Team" around October - looks like it happened a little earlier this year.

I'd hang on to your points and come back in January to finish missions. Cards are at their cheapest in Jan-Feb.

Running Pack only is getting harder in more ways than one.

With OOTPD canceling several Twitch stream shows, I am taking in a lot fewer drop packs. And add that to being ice cold in tournaments, it does leave me much option in what I can do, except sit there and take it!

To my dismay, Keystone did not show up at all this whole week and we finished 2nd from the bottom in the whole league! When your team sports a loosing record at home and sports a horrible 22-59 road record, there isn't a hole big enough to hide in.

Needless to say Keystone is being regulated back down to Bronze for next season.

Gold Final Shine on Shiners

The Shiners went into their last series of the season against Coney Island needing to take 2 of 3 from the Warriors. In game one they scored 6 runs in the first three innings and won 6-3. In game two Coney Island got to Knockemstiff starter Greg Maddux and put up six runs in the first. After that the Shiners bullpen held the visitors to one run on five hits over the 8.2 which allowed the offense to chip away and score 1 in the 5th 2 in the 6th 3 in the 7th and 2 in the 8th to win the ballgame and the OL crown. The Warriors bullpen let them down which is a reoccurring theme this season. Coney Island won the last game but they couldn't play spoiler and the losses cost them the wildcard.

Algoma who led right up to the very end finished the day 7-5 will go into the off season thinking about what might have been. In there last OL game vs. the Syrups, Waffletown's Arky Vaughn hit a walk off 2 run HR off Smokey Joe Wood to seal a victory.

In PT play- Waffletown and Knockemstiff will face off in the division series and are the only OL teams in the playoffs. The winner will be promoted.

Sunday and Gear Terrace will be heading back to silver.

Silver League

You only have to look at the NC Leaders column to see that Seattle were generally a lot more impressive than Paxville. But I think the stars aligned for the Kings, with an amazing home record that can't really be explained by their neutral park factors... I'm a bit disappointed that Paxville's Mark McGuire had a solid season, but didn't make the home run or OPS leaderboards. Not a great sign for power hitters if you ask me.

Good to see that there's a shot at an all OL Sub-League again. Good luck guys!

And there's the screenshot to confirm Keystone's fate. They really didn't seem to have anything go their way this season.

D368 Regular Season Ends

Nowhere put on a strong final month but Annandale holds on to win the Diamond OL crown this year. Congratulations to the Atom Smashers!

Annandale will be the lone OL representative in the Diamond playoffs today.

Silly, Lemp Ave, and Sonora HS will be relegated to gold next week.

There's a (dirty, scratched and dented) Rolex on the way to Waffletown's Arky Vaughn, courtesy of Knockemstiff, in special thanks for his efforts towards their crown!

Nice write up, Ed

I think Coney Island's Roger Clemens is owed a jug of 190 proof for imploding in the second game of the series. On second thought send it to me. My bullpen had a total of 21 blown saves this season.

Gettysburg Gets it Done in OL B222

The Bullets cruised to a 15-10 mark over the final month to finish the job and take home the bronze title for 2044. At least two teams will be promoted and there were no relegations. An OL series is only possible if the winner of the Wild Card match-up of Asheboro visiting Terra Incognita can push through as an underdog.

Vaughan holds his arm up to admire his dirty, scratched and dented Rolex and nods his approval. After falling victim to the spoiler team last season, which cost Waffletown a shot at the post season; there was something extra satisfying this season in both winning the division and playing spoiler.

Wrap Up

Haven't done one of these in a long time, but the Rolex mention and the fact that there were four crowns made it seem a natural, not to mention my semi-retirement.

Speaking of which, I was almost disappointed to see the Mundys grab a wild card, given that I was hoping to do the re-jiggering of the roster while I had time this morning. Ah, well. Anyway, until later, when we check in to hand out a bunch of PT hardware, good luck to all. Don't forget your lists.

Congratulations to the Shiners for a well deserved title. Good luck to them and Waffletown in the playoffs (I do not give you much of a chance in the inevitable title series with former Perfect League team and two time Diamond League champ Peninsula Whips but I am rooting for luck to come your way).

I will say Algoma had a decent season even though they lost their last two games to the Syrups to vacate the OL throne. The thing I enjoy most about this game is using unfashionable players (that is unfortunately where I am at) and having them succeed. To that end it is with great pleasure that I note that Brad Penny won the ERA crown! He was pressed into service out of necessity and has responded with excellent pitching (although I know I got lucky this year and he will be moved to the pen now that he has won the ERA crown!). Brad Penny's season kept me in the OL hunt and has the fans enduring gratitude.
