Queens Metropolitans
the Unisphere kind of looks great no matter what I do to it, here it is in Mets colors and with the above colors reversed again
I'd like to extend the Met Life Tower or Singer Building ones to another team or two - alternate Giants and Yankees. I love how many old school NY teams tm1681 has made and maybe eventually I'll make a NY/Philly neighborhood league. |

Relampagos de Maracaibo White Sox version
Here is Maracaibo as a White Sox farm team (or relocation), since the White Sox were the first MLB team to feature Venezuelan stars, Chico Carrasquel and Luis Aparicio. |

I moved the Royals to South America, part I: The Cartagena Reales
Pretty straightforward, los Reales de Cartagena, colors from the flag of Cartagena

Royals in South America, part II: Cartagena Liberatores
Ah, but then I thought, I could flip it over, to depose the monarchy, and the team became Liberatores de Cartagena. I feel like this is actually a pretty plausible team name, like the many Patriots. There's a Mexican basketball team that uses it. But I'm not in love with the name, so I might use the BC versions (Barranquilla y Cartagena, or Beisbol Club of Cartagena).
I'm pretty happy with flipping it over, though. The top part even looks like a fortification pointing north toward the Caribbean

Royals in South America, part III
here it is in the national flag colors, which are shared by Colombia and Venezuela since they used to be part of the same country, so this one could be located in Cartagena or Caracas.
edit: I also redid the Nortenos logo from very early in this thread, it can now be an alternate or one of this team's minor league affiliates. At the moment I'm going with the Cartagena Liberatores, and their AAA team, the Barranquilla Nortenos. Last edited by 20_range; 11-08-2023 at 10:37 PM. |

I'm so petty, but I really appreciate the "depose the monarchy" part! Really nice work!

Houston Live Oaks
my replacement for Houston. It took me a long time to come up with a name/concept I liked, especially with the space theme being taken by the Santo Domingo Astronomos in my league. I try not to be a tourist when I go places, but when I was in Houston for a wedding, I did stare at the trees like a mesmerized outsider. Our culture did not adequately prepare me for Texas being a swamp.

Colorado Mountain Tops / Rocky Mountain Tops / Colorado Puns
The initial pun is meant to be an old minor league team (mirroring the Denver Bears), which has a fun "Millionaires"/
Rocky Mountain Oyster aesthetic. Then the replacement Rockies take inspiration from their name in 1993. - and they add a second pun lol - It is almost believable. It was 1993, and they did discover bones excavating Coors Field. They made their mascot a Triceratops. And I think the teamname "Tops" would look right on a jersey and make great baseball headlines. This is the first of two or three dinosaur-themed Rockies replacements I'm making . Any of them could be located in Colorado Springs as a minor league team, or be used for a rookie level team. Not sure which one I'll pick for the majors yet.The colors, font-ish and mountains come from their city connect hat, which I've been using for them since it came out Last edited by 20_range; 11-18-2023 at 11:02 PM. |

Amarillos de Caracas
The sworn rivals of the Caracas Rojos, it's the Caracas Amarillos. They're named after the Araguaney, the national tree, and share a founding date with the real world Caracas Leones. Over the years since then the yellow-wearing team naturally became known as the Amarillos.
Their small logos are a lower case a, like 70s Atlanta, and the Indianapolis ABC's Negro League logo, because it is great, in Venezuelan colors. * I learned how to make curved text fit an oval, and it only took me one year (actually I gave up for most of that time, but recently found a good tutorial). There are a bunch of logos in this thread that could stand to be updated, now that I understand how to do circular and ovular text.

Navegantes de Carabobo
I decided to make this historical sleeve patch of the real life Navegantes del Magellanes, while I'm reading about Venezuelan baseball and looking for fictional South American minor league team ideas

Ocelotes de Guatemala / Guatemala City Ocelots
I've been working on some cat teams
this one has a future founding date (from dinosauryoshi's league) because baseball does not appear to be very popular in Guatemala at present Last edited by 20_range; 12-05-2023 at 09:36 PM. |

Ohio Moundbuilders
This is based on one of Kevin's frames.
It's Serpent Mound on the top, and "Alligator" Mound on the bottom. |
