I might watch either the 1971 All Star game or the 1955 world series tonight depending on how things go.

I might watch some current baseball this year if nothing else to keep up with things for the PT "Live" cards....hate to break a 15 year old promise though but time heals as they say I guess. I'll probably hardly recognize the game.

I gave up baseball for about 5 years after 1994, but went back to it. I watch every single Red Sox game of the year.

Black Friday means something different for my team...

I'm 0-10 for and I have 7 of my next 10 against Orca.

Not all Trouts are alike. Mine is hitting .239 with 18 HR. His is .292 with 30. I guess his Trout has the advantage of hitting against my pitchers and I get to go against Kevin Brown, Pedro, etc.

Orcin, Can you warm up the cellar for me in Diamond?

Yes, that's a part of it.

I get swept in four games by last-place Kenner, then I sweep second-place Orcin in his house. Funny little game.

I have studied all of the factors associated with success in this game, and I have concluded that it is just pure luck. Therefore, from this moment forward, I am just playing the players that I like and let the chips fall where they may. I am really tired of trying to find patterns in that which is totally uncontrolled and random. You might as well bet on dice rolls, actually that is more fun (it's called craps) and costs less.

The success to winning is conducting ones spirit to infiltrate a region that is unbeknownst to a opponents spear of activity. Or so it would seem. 🤷*♀️

I've never given Trout a chance, but I've given Betts a season or two in Perfect multiple times and have had sub .230 AVG success with him every_time (even hitting in a maxed-out AVG/2B/3B home ballpark). Figure if I'm spending 22/23k on an everyday player, I'd rather they at least be left handed so they'll have a greater chance to hit all the great RH pitching that's in the league.

I'm sure there are scenarios where both Trout and Betts would be more successful consistently, but I tried a number of different things with Betts and the guys around him in the lineup, and could never get any form of good consistency out of him. I guessing if these two were LH batters they'd perform much more consistently in Perfect where nearly everyone is using RHP.

Just read Zorro comment about his goal to sneak into playoffs and then take down the Crows.
I guess he already wrote off all other teams in the hunt for the wildcard.

We have at least a dozen team trying to sneak in....

On a separate note, I am thrilled my 8 year old managed to stay in the run for a playoff spot in the AC division (Woodinville IronMen).
His brother is holding a Wildcard spot in the Diamond division (maybe a re-match with the NYY23 Titans and a promotion back to Perfect).

I came to that understanding about 4-5 seasons ago. It's all just random.

Or are we all just too similar and don't have many weak teams to bulldoze over for 3-4 wins?
We all pretty much have stellar pitching and almost all the teams have some great offense from either the Infield or Outfield.

I agree...the outcome against all the similar teams is very hard to predict.
It feels just like real baseball

Using the rest of the season to train Trout in LF. I need to upgrade Hank Greenberg in LF. Not sure if I want a CF or LF, so this prepares for that. I'd love a perfect Mays, but might just go with a Hank Aaron.

gonna dance with the ones that brung me and go down with 'em if that's what happens....

Wow tied with the Colonels all of a sudden... I've come to expect much less from this team since joining the Mini Whales.

I think you should read it again. I hate to be misquoted. I said my goal was to try and win a wild card spot and then try and win the wild card game and then try and beat the Crows. No where was there any suggestion of writing off anything except from you. Lol

This was my quote Joe and no where here do I see anything about looking past anyone. That was your mouth not mine.

I had 7 cold players I had to deal with. I have never seen that before. I played two to try and break their streak but the rest I have to think about doing something. Lol. The most I ever had before at one time was two. 😨
