If the dude could learn to take some pitches, this would never have happened.

And by "the dude", I mean both of them.

The other record that Rollins is closing in on is the single season record for plate appearances set, wait for it, wait for it....

Now that was an offense. Leading the league in runs scored by half a run a game while playing in Veterans Stadium? Leading the league in walks by 70. Mmm.

With some injury luck I think Lee Thomas and Jim Fregosi would be legends now.

Yeah, they could hit. Drew a lot of walks too.

But I still can't understand using Mitch Williams for a closer.

Interesting to see what will happen in the MVP vote if the Mets don't get in the playoffs.

METS OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS. Can't ask for much more than that. If only the Tigers pushed the Yanks out.

If they pull a game ahead tonight, that means tomorrows games could be clinchers. That's exciting.

Edit: Even more exciting, it looks like Cole is back and in playoff form. Woo!

And as sadistic as it sounds, I'm rooting for Ryan to push the K record over 200. He deserves to have some sort of record for awhile.

Man, I'm not even watching the wildcard anymore. Division or bust.

And the Phils get another baserunner with the strikeout passed ball/wild pitch play.

I wonder how many times they've done that this year. They've done it 3 times now in the handful of games I've watched, basically from the past month. I'm pretty sure that's more times than I've seen it happen in my entire lifetime.
