Gold League
Congrats to the Cary Southpaws! No doubting their credentials as champs.
The playoffs could get interesting. And bye bye Paxville. Their highlights from the last 1000+ packs (in terms of impact on the roster) are a bronze and an iron, so it's not really a surprise that they're going backwards

Bronze
The Sunday Drivers ran away with the AC East title winning 122 games (7--3 in OL matchups) and are the number one seed heading into the playoffs. Regardless of playoff outcomes they will be promoted.
Sugar Hill finished at 86-76 (2-4 in OL) and secured the second wildcard. Should they win that game they will face the Drivers in the Division Series. The Gang will either be promoted or stay in bronze depending on playoff outcomes. Baltimore finished the season 78-84 (1-3 in OL) and will remain in Bronze next week. I will drop back later today with a playoff update. |

Peguins Prevail in OL S288
Algoma took care of business, winning two-of-three to close out the season, capturing the 2042 crown. Algoma will be returning to gold no matter how their playoffs go. The other teams will need to make the semi-finals to grab a promotion spot. Those semi-finals hold the potential to be an all_OL affair.

A Question for Those in the Know
Now that I have changed Port Ruppert to a half Giants theme while waiting for Willie, I thought that entering one of those championship tourneys would give me a chance to play the many perfects I picked up along the way. However, assuming I signed up correctly, I don't really know how it works. I guess they will be sending me an e-mail with further instructions as the opening day gets nearer. Also, does the fact that I was able to submit my sign-up mean I am in, or did I end up in a lottery for a spot? Thanks for any answers.
Speaking of half-Giants, my Terra Incognita Rustlers had the two best Giants pack pulls of the week, a 100 Bobby Bonds, and a 96 Bill Sayles in much fewer packs than the Mundys. It was too bad my good luck was misplaced. That is why I don't play tourneys with the Rustlers or Asylum, except for an occasional daily when I think of it. It's a little frustrating to feel slightly disappointed for having gotten a card that should have made you happy. I worry that Jobu will sense that feeling and interfere with my pack mojo. I think Sayles, especially, would have been a real help in the Mundy bullpen, given Leon Day's 1-11, +5.00 ERA record as the closer. I eventually ended up buying a Joe "Iron Man" McGinnity and he has improved the situation heading into the PT playoffs. |

After a great seasonal start, the Bullets crashed-and-burned the last two months and gave up the OL Crown to Route 66. Congratulations Hot Rods!
PS: Route 66, Gettysburg, Gem City, Cleveland, and Otsego Lake all in playoffs.

I believe what you should see (maybe a day or so before the tourney) is that tournament show up in your 'active tourney' list when you log in (separate from your 3 tourney slots/PD slot), which will then let you set your roster... not sure if you actually get an email on it |

Thanks

Thank you Jason. I thought about the silver, but just wanted to get a chance to try out some of the perfect cards I've acquired recently that haven't been and probably won't get used. I'm kind of liking the theme route and will probably switch to another if this one I'm using gets stagnant to the point of boredom. I had thought about using the years 1962 to 1972, which represent the years from my discovery of my own brand new team (the Mets) until I went into the service (the Air Force after getting number one in draft lottery). Of course, the current theme could very well carry me through the rest of 22. Thanks again for the info. |

aaaand as usual, in the post season when facing a team you easily dispatched game after game in the regular season (5-1 record), you fold like a cheap lawnchair in a one-and-done game (facing a pitcher you pounded 11-1 the last time you faced him at home)
![]() on the bright side, Waffletown won't be moving up to lose 100+ games in Diamond next year

Lemp Ave. return to our roots
After a month of believing we could still prosper at Diamond, throwing all standards out the window, adding non-STL players, including Jackie Robinson, Lemp Ave. is once again a St. Louis-theme team (Cardinals, Browns, Stars, Perfectos).
Good buy, Jackie, and hello Ozzie. Now we'll see if a theme team can even survive at Gold.

D354 Final Update
Diamond League has wrapped up.
Annandale made the playoffs but lost in the semi-finals. Lemp Avenue is in the relegation zone. So Annandale, Nowhere, and Silly will be competing in Diamond next year along with any promotions from gold. Here's the final OL standings. Does this qualify for a crown? I'm not sure but I bet someone knows. |

Congrats to the Sunday Drivers who are Bronze league champions. The Drivers got pushed to a deciding game 7 in the sub league series before sweeping the finals.
Sugar Hill lost their WC game 2-0 so along with Baltimore the Gang will be remaining in Bronze while the Drivers will be moving to Silver. |
