No OL Crown in play for Bronze this week but a quick update at the half way point of the season.
Sunday Drivers are 57-23 and are running away with the AC East and are 7-3 in OL play. Sugar Hill is 42-40 both 2 games out of first and a WC spot. The Gang are 2-4 in OL games. Baltimore is 37-42 6.5 games out of both first and a WC spot. The Barons are 1-3 in OL All OL tilts look to be done for the season. I will check in on Sunday with a playoff update. |

Its OOTP in your hand anywhere so there is a lot to like. My dislikes, it's kind of tough on the phone unless you increase the font size, much better on an iPad. I only quickly log in to PT on the phone to enter tourneys. It also seems to be more of a drain on your battery than the previous apps (iOOTP and MLB Manager). This is quite an upgrade and great for the company but I do miss some of the simplicity of the older app versions. |

Keepers Maintain Lead in OL S288
Asylum took a bit of a dive in PT action, but played well enough in the important games (OL) to stay atop standings that matter most.

That is quite extraordinary that Asylum have only won 6 games against the rest of the league! It still amazes me how much more dynamic OL makes PT
![]() In my news: At this point, I'm pretty sure my tourney teams have been nerfed, so it seems like a good time to lift the packs-only restriction from Paxville. I'm certainly not going to go AH crazy, but I can at least start with a few annoying irons and bronzes. |

Hey guys, consider this a friendly reminder that the live update will probably be happening on Monday. So it’s probably worth taking some time to look at your live cards and see if there are any diamonds/gold you want to sell.
I am going to sell all my Vlad Jrs because I suspect he will be going down to gold. I also routinely sell 99% of my unlocked gold cards that are below 85. Oh, and just about any relief pitchers! |

Thanks for the info. I could easily see the draw to GO if you traveled alot or spent alot of time every week communicating back and forth to work on a train, bus, or in a car pool (as long as you were not the one driving)! ![]() Quote:
Yes, thanks for the reminder as I wasn't thinking the the month-end was coming up so fast. I also sell off the low rated cards however, I do the following: I sell off live cards <95-90, <85-80, <75-70, <65-40. I sit on the non-live cards in the hopes that they will be included in future missions. I was looking the other day that if I currently sold off all of my Live cards that were no locked in, I could generate 81,000+PP. That could easily change one way or another as I am sitting on 6-8 Live cards rated 98-96, hoping that they make it to the 100 rating before I cash them in. I also have a bunch of live 89-85 cards that I am sitting on, too. |

Gold League
Cary moved to the top with another strong month. Amazingly, with a third of the season still to play, Knockemstiff are done. Pretty disappointing considering they've already played the fewest games... Still, they've set a decent marker AND may be the only team that finishes with a winning record against Cary!

Patriots Streak to Top of OL S288
New York won six-of-seven games for the month to take over the lead from Asylum, which dipped below .500 and dropped to second.

Gem City slips to 3rd while Route 66 moves up to challenge Gettysburg. The Hot Rods have 7 OL-games left - all against Gettysburg - which could decide this race.

. They can stay packs-only for now! Also realized that I recently pulled one of the annoying irons, to get Moyer

Gold League
3-1 for Cary, and an impressive 9-3 for Helthwyzer. The Crakes have 16(!) games left. The Southpaws have 8, with 3 against Helthwyzer, and 5 against Waffletown.
It Could be an interesting finish, however... Cary just need to go .500 to pip '20 game' Knockemstiff, whereas Helthwyzer need to win 13! |

Hot Month Pushes Penguins to Top in OL S288
Algoma ripped off a 9-3 August to grab the pole position as the teams head into the home strech. They have only a season ending three-game series against Asheboro remaining, while their closest rival, Asylum, has 10. The many teams lined behind those two face a very busy final five weeks. Ol games remain for the teams are, in their current standings order:
- New York (22), Inland Empire (22), Left Coast (17), Bluffton (15, Keystone (6), Seattle (25) It seems the chase for the crown could go down to the final day, or perhaps beyond, depending on the PT races. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 08-28-2021 at 05:37 AM. |

Stanley, I reckon you deserve a crown this week, what with the mountain of results you've had to count up

The Iron.209 crown is down to Gettysburg or Route 66. Only 2 games separate them. Route 66 only has 4 OL games left (against Gettysburg) while the Bullets have a total of 11 games left. When the season is over, Gettysburg will have played a total of 60 OL games!

going to put on my prognostication hat and say Cary goes 4-1 against the Syrups in those last 5 to lock up the OL crown (though 3 of those games are the last series of the season, so could lock it up before that) |

The Crakes did have a nice OL run yesterday finally but a 14-2 OL finish is just not going to happen (be lucky if all those OL team do not knock the Crakes into relegation). |
