As of right now yes, you have to edit the height map - that's an edit you could easily do in Photoshop or an equivalent.

I'll adjust that in the next release, whenever I get around to it.

As far as that security message goes, that means I need to update the SSL certificate on ootputilities.com, but micropterus's solution is a perfectly good workaround.

Version 0.7.0 has (finally) been released!

What's New
  • Holding the Shift key down while rotating an image will restrict it to 15-degree increments.
  • Eleyet colors can now be changed all at once or individually.
  • 1960's style vest sleeves have been added (thanks nopepper!).
  • Users can now specify seam "strength" on the normal map.
  • Text & number strokes now have a user-controllable width.

What's Fixed
  • The ImageMagick checks have been removed as they weren't working as intended.
  • The "gern44" cap texture has been re-added.
  • The undershirt has been adjusted on the height & normal maps to fix the "two tone" collar issue.

I downloaded the update, but I am still having an issue with the two-tone collars:



I am also unable to load .uni files, even if they were created using the latest update -- the program sits there loading.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

That shouldn't be happening with 0.7.0, can you post the height and/or normal map that is being generated?

.uni files are not fully compatible between releases, are you getting this message when you try to open the file?



Either way, it shouldn't just sit there. At the very least, I can't replicate that.

Here's the loading screen it gets caught on when trying to load a new .uni file.



Perhaps I am downloading the wrong file? I have a PC and select "OOTP.Uniform.Maker.0.7.0.setup.exe" on github.

In the newest version, unchecking the Eyelets box for the cap doesn't remove the eyelets. Is that a bug?

Ah, OK, I see what's happening. Ultimately you're not using the "best" jersey for OOTP23. There are four jersey files included in the ZIP:
  1. erseys_team_name.png - this is the jersey you want to use for best results. If you open it up in a picture viewer there will not be any texturing, that gets applied dynamically by the game by the "normal map" file (see below).
  2. jerseys_team_name_h.png - this is a height map file, useful if you wish to generate your own normal map instead of using the one the app creates.
  3. jerseys_team_name_n.png - this is the normal map which gets automatically loaded if it's in the same directory as the jersey file referenced at the top of this list.

Not sure why you're not getting the dialog I posted a couple of posts back when you load a .uni file, though. I'm not able to replicate what you're seeing (or not, I guess), but if I can I'll fix it.

Yes, it appears to be. I'll fix that in the next release - the closest workaround for now would be to just color them the same as the cap.

Didn't their also used to be a way to to specify where on the uniform to put a logo, i.e. left pocket, right pocket, left sleeve, right sleeve? I see the boxes are still there, but I don't see the option for positioning. Am I blind or just misremembering?

That's still there:



You have to select an image for the controls to be visible.
