Gold League
There could be a good battle unfolding between Coney Island and Lemp Ave.

Surprisingly good South Holland in front. Still early.

Urgh. I mean, at least there's a crown to play for. Could be the last one in Diamond for a week or two...

The Warriors had a good day to edge out in front. I can't see the Perfectos going away though!

Road Dogs Move to Top of OL S257
Asheboro grabbed the lead as the standings compressed, with only 4-1/2 games separating the top from the bottom.

I'm glad we pasted someone. I can't point to one glaring weakness but we're getting knocked around pretty hard this season.

West Burlington takes the lead, while Gear Terrace has a strong month to move to second in OL B288. The big series for the Farmhands in June was a 3-game set against Seattle. After splitting the first two games, the Farmhands took the rubber match 2-1, with a strong 7 ⅔ from Justin Verlander. (Aside: I really like the look of Seattle's roster, and it's working for them in the larger PT universe.)
Six OL teams are in playoff position and four are flirting with relegation. Only Baltimore seems *safe* from either. |

Annandale continues to take the week off. I can't figure out why my entire team is sucking this week but it appears I'll be heading back to gold unless my fortunes dramatically improve. Maybe they figured out I'm on vacation and they all went on vacation too!

Have you acquired all of the FH2 players while you've been on vacation? If not, that's probably your reason!

OL alumni Brooklyn Dynasty seek the PTCS bronze championship on August 21st as they participate in the 32 team final. One series win gets a perfect pack, two gets a new SE card. We're hoping for at least QF. This will also be the decider on whether or not I stick around. If we crash out in round 1, I'm probably done because it's a sign that nothing's ever gonna go right for me and that I need to GTFO before I make myself even more miserable. We're definitely not winning the whole thing because letting me win a major tournament is really bad business
![]() Just let me make the quarters dammit...I'll be happy with either Clarkson, Hershiser, or Latham, knowing I could probably cash in on those for 6 figures at the very least. I do have a glorious plan in case there is a glitch in the matrix and I win the whole thing, but I don't expect to have to act on that plan. Last edited by Magus978; 08-19-2021 at 03:54 PM. |

Rustlers Take Over Top Spot in OL S257
It was Terra Incognitas's turn through the revolving door to the penthouse in the 2041 silver season. Still only 4-1/2 games separate the teams.

Diamond League
Silly took 3 of 4 against Cary. The Syrups rattled off 4 straight against the Shiners, to take 4 of 6. And 5 of the Shiners 7 wins were against OL, closing out the day with 3 of 4 against Cary.
Silly have 13 games remaining. Waffletown have 3. Cary have 12. Knockemstiff have 7. Last edited by Tinkerman; 08-20-2021 at 07:04 AM. |

Gold League
Algoma went 7-2, but not a lot of action overall.
Paxville are yet again following their weekly trajectory of starting hot, then slumping like a cake removed from the oven too soon

Hope you're enjoying your vacation. I don't know if you saw my note of thanks, so I'll repeat it here. I'm thankful you gave me a little push toward completing the Giants missions, because it sparked the thought that I should change my team into a Giants theme team while waiting for Willie. As I was doing so, I noticed that, for less than 100K in total, I could finish the entire Negro Leagues set and run a dual themed squad. However, while I do appreciate your help, it has put me in the position of checking the AH daily to find the final piece, Jeff Kent. I did not like him as a ball player or person, so it's a bit cringe worthy to be pursuing him. Hopefully it ends soon. It was nice that a half-dozen more Giants dropped last night. I took it as a sign that I was headed in the right direction. Again, thanks for helping pick my interest in the game up off the floor. |

yeah, the only thing keeping my interest right now is completing some of the mission trees.... pulled a diamond Ray Lankford last night, which typically wouldn't be much to write home about... but he fills the lone diamond piece I'll need to finish off the St Louis Team#2 mission (just need 2 gold cards now) to nab Hrabosky and FH2 Musial |

Stanley, I am glad to see you are re-engaged.
I think it would be valuable feedback to the OOTP team to let them know that holding off many superstars until the end of the season is something that drives you away from the game (rather than towards it). I know they wanted to get away from issuing multiple cards for the same player but maybe it would make sense to have a set of superstars come out early that you could upgrade. For example, they could issue some sort of superstar set early on in April/May where all the cards are silvers/golds, and then put out better versions (diamonds/perfects) later on as the card base improves. This would let people play with their favorite players and then upgrade them later on in the game cycle. |

Seattle - owners of one of the best logos in the league - also owns the top spot in OL B288, as well as the best overall league record. The smallball Stealheadz are led by Cool Papa Bell, whose 110 SB's leads the league. Bell also leads the league in runs scored. The bottom table shows Seattle's stats, which lead the league in pitching, defense, and runs scored.
Chasing behind are former frontrunners, West Burlington, as well as Gear Terrace and Route 66. |
