I made some Pirates logos for their rookie ball teams, drawing from their rich & silly logo history.


I recolored their amazing 1908 monogram with the modern colors (why doesn't this exist?)


I made an Anne Bonny, a lesbian pirate, in the style of this hideous thing


I made an Andrew McCutchen in the style of the 90s pirate logo (again, I was surprised not to find any images like this)



That leaves three cartoon pirates. I think I will skip the 50s stubble man (that is maybe even worse than the 90s one), but I am not sure what to do with the other two. I'm trying to fit Clemente onto the wanted poster but it hasn't come out right yet.

This is Zheng Yi Sao (or, at least, a photo that claims to be her. It's very unlikely to actually be her, if she died in 1844) in the style of the 1940/late 1980s Pirate, who has an intriguing aspect

I also made some Portland Whales logos out of Rockwell Kent Moby Dick art.



The Portland Whales were my previous long running save, they were alternately called the Portland Roses. This was before I felt myself capable of making anything, and I used the "whalers" logo that comes with the game.



They include a rose from Revolutionary Girl Utena - not likely to be a crossover that will interest anyone but me (both are about coffins!), but I do remember CD being into Sailor Moon, so anything is possible.

For many years I have used tx's Atlanta Hammers and trapper john's Atlanta Beats to replace the unfortunately named club


I wanted to do an Atlanta Peaches without completely ripping this off. I decided that in order to do that I should make a pitcher pitching a peach



This is just a generic illustration of a fastball grip... I tried several times to capture Phil Niekro's knuckleball grip for this, haven't had success yet


Also will probably make some more/better hat logos

This board has plenty of great designs for Montréal, but they're all so monarchic. I didn't want a fleur de lis. I wanted to do a Leonard Cohen thing. He's from there.


It is a mashup, for reasons that make some sense to me, of the Montréal Royals, the Kansas City Monarchs, the album cover of The Future. The crown is meant to have been thrown off or defeated by the heart (replacing the chains in the album cover). It also, maybe, rolled off the king's head, maybe something happened to his neck…



I believe from a signature I see a lot that there is at least one person on this board who would like this



"Baffled" would accurately describe the reaction of all parties — 18th century kings, 20th century black athletes and their bigoted opponents, mystic horny poet singers — to seeing this logo

My Leonard Cohen Montreal team now has a proper name which is the same in both French and English, a second heart, an outline, and the script from the Expos jerseys. The team is now named after "Waiting for the Miracle"

I ended up making a bunch of these. Named after a defensive feature of this castle in San Juan - there are a lot of available angles and other logos online. My league expands to an (independent) Puerto Rico in the future, I decided to go with a muted color scheme version of the flag colors, as a halfway point between the current flag and the all black version

I was all set to put my [somewhere in North America] Magpies in Vancouver, with the abbreviation VBC (Vancouver British Columbia/ Vancouver Baseball Club) until I actually looked at the distribution map and noticed that they don't live there. So here they are in Calgary. Either way I tried to do a bit of Commonwealth style naming with "the Magpies" not sure which one I'll use. My current Vancouver team is the Ravens, from before I made logos.

I was looking at the great images of Jackie Robinson stealing home against Yogi Berra in the 1955 World Series. (They came to mind because I needed a sliding play that... Christo Redentor. .. could call safe)


So here are some Brooklyn Dodgers logos they use various historical Dodgers scripts and elements.

Been meaning to do this. Tired of the bell - it's only famous because early 19th century people thought it was more significant than it was. Philadelphia City Hall, though, I love. I have been there many times - to use the bathroom, for jury duty, to get my marriage license - and it's an incredible thing inside and out. No change to the P hat logo


trying to think of a fictional name to slap on these for dinosauryoshi. Maybe the Philadelphia Citizens, after this pompous as hell statue at City Hall.
