Not sure if this has been mentioned in the numerous posts in this thread but here's something that I would LOVE to see.

When viewing player rating as compared to the league selected, I would love for an option to see them as compared to the Level as well. with there possibly being 2+ leagues each at the various AA, A+, A- levels, i feel that it makes sense to be able to see how a player rates against all competition at that level and not just the specific league that they are in.

I actually spent a good amount of time combining the current MILB structure into 1 AA league, 1 A+ league and so on, having this ratings view option would save so much time and open up a lot of avenues for league structure and evaluation.

One minor cosmetic thing that would be an awesome little change would be the ability to customize the stats that appear on those in-game lineup panels. So instead of BA/HR/RBI/SB, you could have a triple slash or something like that appear instead

1) I would like to see a "date range" option when looking at stat splits on all pages that goes as far back as history allows.
2) On the player game stats tab, show the calculated sum total of stats for the date range selected.
3) It is currently very cumbersome to comb through game by game results by team. Would love to see a new HTML report for the schedule that mimics something like this:

4) Sortable stats by team/position please!
5) Add more customization options to the in game sound. Would like to see in-between inning music added, music played after a victory/loss, etc. This would help improve the ambiance when playing out games in 3D.

Please add some sort of mechanism for online leagues to (a) record any changes made by the commissioner in edit screens for players/teams or (b) restrict the ability to make changes to players/teams

Commissioners of online leagues work hard to create great gameplay experiences for the OOTP community! We deserve some support for a long-requested feature to help assure members of our leagues that any good or bad luck is just that -- luck!

I play GM.mgr of a 2022 team. What really frustrates me is it seems every season my team plays 22 games in a row. Just tooooo many. I don't care if they are off on a weekend.

I’m running a fictional league into the 1970s right now using as played schedules and all I can say is… man, if you don’t like 21 straight days, don’t play from this era. How about 32 games a month? In July, the month where everybody gets 3 days off for the All Star Game?

Okay, all that said, unless you have a really weird setup I would actually recommend you find real life schedules. The OOTP scheduler can be a little weird. IME it doesn’t usually have three weeks straight of games but it does stuff like schedule every team to have the same days off and it guess if you’re playing with rainouts on then you could see a stretch where 19 games in 21 days could turn into 21, I guess? Nevertheless, I think if you’re in, say, 2026 with current alignments, for instance, just use the schedule from 2019 (or 2018 or whenever to keep things fresh).

If the scheduler is actually scheduling that many days without rest in advance… I guess I’d be curious to know what settings you’re using? How many games, how many teams/divisions, when does the season start, etc.?

When you open the Player Profile, there are options to add Hitting and Baserunning stats, but nothing for Defense. It is really annoying having to go to the Fielding Stats screen when I just want a quick glance at how they're doing and not an in-depth view. Even if it's just adding something like ZR to the list of eligible columns, that would be a huge time save and convenience boost! It would be much appreciated!

EDIT: Also having the Age column on the Player Profile similar to when in the Batting/Pitching Stats Screen would be amazing!

Yes, I've been wanting to do this for ages! I'd do something like PA, wRC+, BB%, SO%! Maybe HR, maybe ISO, I dunno. It would be great though! This would also be great to be able to change the leaderboards on the standings screen when simming so I can change it to something like wRC+ instead of RBIs! :]

I do think that adding customization to the game screens would be pretty great. It was only OOTP20 that they put in customizeable player profiles so this might even be in the offing!

Would love to see this, too, as a pop-up since I don't read the play-by-play. "John Jones just set (or tied) the team record for career Home Runs"

In addition, the 'one-week' and 'by month' splits don't quite give me the fidelity I would like. I'm usually looking to see what a player has done over the last twenty games for example.

And my biggest request is to please add an option to enter the upcoming days games from a text file so I don't have to enter dozens of custom playofff games manually once I get into the post season!!!

I apologize if this has been mentioned, as I haven't read the entire thread.

In a pitcher's strategy screen, I'd like to be able to differentiate between "Adjust to Team Strategy" and "Override Team Strategy" on the offensive and defensive sides of the screen. Specifically, I want to override team strategy with the offensive settings so my pitchers don't steal or be used to hit and run or bunt for hits. But I want the settings for all the pitching strategies to be adjusted to the team strategy. Right now, if you change it on one side, it changes both sides, so they cannot be separate settings.

I hope that makes sense.

So yeah I'm someone who's been a member here for a really long time but has almost never posted.

Some things I'd like to see:

Cleaning up of the Injury database (I've made an attempt myself if any of you want to take a look: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=334146)
The ability to add other odd rules from foreign leagues (EX: ties after X number of innings)
More straight-forward textures that allow for more customization (the current jersey ones being diagonal in nature can make things quite difficult for modders who make their own templates)
Other's have posted this, but a post-season All-League Team or perhaps the ability to customize the "Silver Slugger" award set to turn it into an All-League Team.
The ability to define the selection criteria for the "Custom Award" that is available for every league so it isn't just a nebulous custom award.
I know this is a pipe dream, but some kind of pregame GUI-based Database Editor like there is for other sim games such as Football Manager (I'm a national Head Researcher for FM).

Thought of another one: The ability to create a custom tiebreaker lists for divisions, wildcard spots, or leagues if you don't want to have tiebreaker games in the event of seasonal ties.

A couple of other wants:
1) Sortable Mock Draft
Can't search for names or output the file.

2) In Game Sim Bug
If playing out games and simming until scoring position and then sim the rest of the half inning, the pitcher never gets pulled as they will during simming a whole inning. I have often simmed till a runner in scoring position, then played out the plays until two outs and then have the AI play out the inning only to find my SP gave up 9 runs and threw 146 pitches.

3) Pitcher Development Training
Specific training for areas of development for pitchers or hitter. It would great to work on teaching new pitches or stamina. Work on strike outs for hitters. Obviously, these focused activities cut come at the cost of developing other skills but 2 pitch pitcher that has a ton of talent and a high potential 3rd pitch slider that never develops is frustrating.

4) Graphics
Jersey Numbers and Names on the Back of Jersey. Less telegraphed player motion that indicates the play outcome before the play has happened. Umpires and base coaches.
