It's a matter of relation, though. Go to the positonal strength report and you'll see that Morneau is the 13th best 1bman, Kubel 16th best LFer (and I'm sure he'd rank much lower as a DH, which is what he is), and Cuddy the 20th best RFer. That's absurd if you ask me.

I also noticed how low Span's fielding ratings were. Which I would guess is based on his UZR numbers for CF last year, but that sample size is too small. He's no Carlos Gomez, but he'll be at least league average, and probably end up being quite good.

Cubby rated these guys they way he thinks they should be rated so I doubt he will change any of there information based on what someone thinks. Afterall this is his set so it's how he wants it. I you really believe that they are rated wrong you need to provide hard facts. Try simming alot of seasons and averaging his stats then see how they match up with his real life stats. If the stats are really off then maybe cubby will change it.(again it's up to him)

also if you feel so strongly about it you could always changed them yourself.

I rerate the guys myself. I think Cubby likes feedback, so that's what I'm trying to give. I mean if Cubby's after accuracy, I'm sure he's open to it.

I think what Cubby goes by is the projected stats when you're in Player Editor. I could be wrong, but if you go into the Editor and check out the projections, the SLG% and OPS are usually very much in line w/ what players do in real life. I'm sure there are some that aren't (I thought Jay Bruce was enormously overrated, for example), but on the whole, the real-life stats and Cubby league-generated stats seem to generally match up (except for HRs...which are a little low).

Overall, awesome work, Cubby...I will be up too late tonight.

Looks really good Cubby. I love the Washington Nationals and am reviewing the players now. Looks to be pretty spot on. I did not initially see Drew Storen but will do a player search. I might have just missed him in my scan.

As a former roster maker, I really appreciate the effort. I know it took a lot of time to complete.

Since this a saved game, do I have to copy the original file everytime I want to start a new game?

Thank you Cubby! I appreciate all the hard work, and the wait was well worth it! The Braves' ratings look good, but as someone pointed out, there are some players that aren't on the rosters in real life.

I'll look over more teams and let you know if there are any mistakes anywhere. Thanks again!

Also - You mentioned another release. Will that be the last and final roster update that will include the things you listed in your 2.0 package? Or will it just include the photos and whatnot? If you need help finding player photos, just let me know Cubby and I'll be sure to help you out with that.

Thanks again.

Great rosters, as always, to get me back into OOTP. I did find one thing that might need to be addressed concerning the Detroit Tigers. I found that Phil Cokes stamina is too high. Since he is a reliever in real life his stam probably shouldn't be at 72. With it being that high he is made into a SP.

Also, for the twins, Joe Maur should have his contract updated.

Oh and I found a duplicate player. Sidney Ponson is in the free agent pool and on the Omaha Royals.

I am running into major problems getting my season going.

I got the files all where they need to be and I created my own Manager and made that manager commissioner and then deleted Bud Seilig Admin.

I then turned off the commissioner tag and played as the Brewers Manager through spring training.

At the end of spring training I altered my roster accordingly so as to only have 25 men on my active roster.

No other teams did that though. They are not managing their own rosters.

Can anyone help me?

see this previous post from Cubby

"Also I just realized I did what I always do and forgot to change team control back to computer.

Go to Game Setup, League Setup, and hit Functions, Set all computer-controlled teams to allow roster changes or they won't ever make any moves. I'll fix that tomorrow too"

Oh, I couldn't find SP Dontrelle Willis for the Tigers. He isn't listed as a player at all. So he appears to be MIA.

When I download the roster it is not coming up in the load game screen. I put it in a folder in saved_games.

Hes in there but in the minors. Consider yourself lucky you can't find him.

Did you extract all the files to a folder then rename the folder to something like MLB.lg?

You have to have the .lg in there.

Throwing up an updated file in a bit with fixed MLB park factors and the computer auto-manage thing fixed.

Also just realized the prospect lists are screwed up -- in the meantime, if you want to see the "accurate" real life lists, turn Top Prospect List setting to "dynamic" rather than "annual" on league setup.

Thanks, Cubby. So so far, guys should

-Switch the team controllers back to CPU except your own
-Change prospect lists to 'dynamic' instead of 'annual' in league setup

right?

Issues with computer seemlingly controlling my team

Anybody experienced the computer controlling your team? I'm finding computer promoting/demoting, changing lineups, putting people on waivers, etc, even though I thought it was all updated for me (the GM) to be handling that. Any ideas/thoughts? Thanks.
