Milling Series - Game 3: #3 Charleville Half Wits vs #2WC Goose Island Goslings
Single inning outburst enough for Goose Island win If they could ignore the bottom of the 4th inning, game 3 was a fantastic one for Charleville. Unfortunately that wasn't an option in the final results. As it was, Goose Island would tally 7 runs on 5 hits in the bottom of the fourth en route to a 7-2 victory in game 3 to give them a 2 games to 1 lead in the series |

Milling Series - Game 3: #4 Horsefly Jazzy Razzy vs #1WC Scorched Earth Giant Killer
Jazzy Razzy breaks out the brooms In a back and forth game, the ending was never certain as Horsefly looked to sweep the series while Scorched Earth hoped to see another game. Horsefly scored a run in the top of the first, but the Giant Killer answered back with a run of their own in the bottom of the second. Horsefly would retake the lead with another run in the 5th, but Scorched Earth responded in the bottom half of the inning with 2 runs to take a 3-2 lead. Horsefly tallied 3 runs in the 7th inning to grab a 5-3 lead and took that into the bottom of the 9th. With two outs and one runner aboard, pinch hitter Brady Hershberger came to bat and promptly cranked a game tying two run blast to give hope to the hometown fans. That hope would be dashed in the 12th inning when Horsefly pushed across the go ahead run, and Scorched Earth failed to respond in the bottom half to see their season come to an end. |

Blind Pig advance to Mashing Series A solid performance from Russian River starter Edgar Gomez (7 innings, 5 hits, 2 runs) and reliever Josh Merkey (2 innings, 1 hit, no runs) was enough to spur the Blind Pig to a series clinching 4-2 win over Three Floyds. The series MVP was awarded to Jorge Zamarripa for his .467 series average, with 4 home runs, 7 RBIs, 7 runs scored and .556 on base percentage |

Milling Series - Game 4: #4 Toboggan Lunatic Fridge vs #1WC Kona Pipeline
Toboggan slides past Pipeline With their season on the line, Kona did all they could to try and prolong the series, scoring runs in the first and second, two more in the fourth and another in the fifth to take a 5-3 lead into the last half of game 4. Unfortunately for Pipeline fans, they weren't able to hold back Toboggan as they would tally 2 runs in the top of the seventh to tie up the game. The Lunatic Fridge would notch another run in the 10th inning to take their first lead of the game, and the bullpen would make it stand up as Toboggan claimed a 6-5 win and a 3 games to 1 series win. |

Mashing Series - Game 1: #1 Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot vs #4 Horsefly Jazzy Razzy
Pitcher's duel ends with walk off With Jim Stamey of Weyerbacher facing off against Gary Pryor of Horsefly, everyone expected a low scoring pitching duel, and they weren't disappointed. Stamey was untouchable for most of the game, taking a no hitter into the 7th inning before giving up his first hit of the game. Horsefly would almost have as solid a game, giving up a single run in the 4th inning as his only blemish. Weyerbacher's 1-0 lead held until the 8th inning when the Jazzy Razzy pushed a run across off of reliever Brian Pearson. In the bottom of the 9th, Weyerbacher put runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs to put the pressure on Horsefly. With the infield drawn in, the runners had to hold on a groundball to short. The next batter was intentionally walked to load the bases with one out; followed by a shallow pop fly to center, not deep enough for the runner from 3rd to tag. Horsefly fans were ready to breath a sigh of relief, but instead let out a sigh of frustration as Nick Black stroked a single to right to drive across the winning run. |

Mashing Series - Game 1: #2 Ballast Point Commodores vs #2WC Goose Island Goslings
Ballast Point cruises to game 1 win Ballast Point starter Mike Roberts tossed a steady 5.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and just 1 run before turning things over to his bullpen. Once Jenkins and Crossley took over pitching duties, Goose Island would only see 1 more hit the rest of the way. On the offensive side, third baseman Charlie Berry put an exclamation point on things with a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 8th to finish off the 6-1 win |

Mashing Series - Game 2: #3 Toboggan Lunatic Fridge vs #4WC Crooked Crab Furious George
Lunatic Fridge feast on home cooking Making the most of their home field advantage, Toboggan claimed a 2 games to none lead in the series with an 11-6 victory in game 2. Crooked Crab took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the 6th and hoped to keep the Toboggan bats quiet, but that quickly fell apart as the Lunatic Fridge offense exploded for 9 runs before the inning was over to take an 11-3 lead. The Furious George chipped away slightly at the deficit, but it wasn't enough. |

Mashing Series - Game 2: #1 Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot vs #4 Horsefly Jazzy Razzy
Age is just a number for Jazzy Razzy's Hale While some might be speculating on a possible retirement date for 40 year old Horsefly starter Jarrett Hale, he has other things on his mind... like winning playoff games. Hale faced off against the top team in the league and held them to just 4 hits in his 6 innings, and 2 runs. He would turn things over to the bullpen who would only give up 2 more hits and no runs en route to a 4-2 win for the Jazzy Razzy to even up the series at 1 each. |

Mashing Series - Game 3: #1 Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot vs #4 Horsefly Jazzy Razzy
Donohue punishes former team in Weyerbacher win Former Horsefly left fielder, now Blithering Idiot, Tim Donohue did his best to show the Jazzy Razzy faithful what they could have had if they had just tried harder to sign the free agent in the off season. Instead, he signed with Weyerbacher and today went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles, a home run, 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored in a 9-4 win. Weyerbacher now leads the series 2 games to 1 |
