He got hit by a 92MPH fastball in the hand and went down hard. He left the game and was replaced by Weaver as a pinch runner. I'd be surprised if it wasn't a break.

16 runners left on base for the Dodgers while losing by 2 runs. During the streak the Dodgers were clutch city but tonight, nothing when they really needed it. The Rockies seemed to be doing their best to let LA back into a potential blow-out.

It's amazing how if just one more ball would have dropped for a hit during any one of those innings that the Dodgers had the bases loaded up it would have been a completely different game.

Does it seem like Drew started hitting right about the time Kent stopped?

I'm very interested to see what D.J. Houlton can do on Sunday.
It's pretty uncommon for a Rule 5 draftee to play much of a role on a contending team so his first major league start may really tell us something about him.
Penny may still get the nod but it looks like weather is going to be poor with low temperatures meaning Penny's return will be scrubbed in favor of the rookie. Although Houlton has only 5 appearances and pitched in AA last season, he's looked sharp in mop-up rolls so far with a 1.42 ERA.

Crazy how that works isn't it. Hopefully Werth is good to go soon and with Heep Sop warming up ever so slowly things should be looking up.

I had no idea he was a Rule 5 draftee. Which organization do they snag him from?

Houston

At Double-A Houlton was 12-5, 2.94 with 159 strikeouts in as many innings, but it was his second stint there and he wasn't young for the level at 24. The year before he pitched briefly at AAA but wasn't ready (5.40 ERA in 40+ innings)

Dang, wheels came off a bit in the 6th. A streak of 11 straight retired was ended on a close play at 1B resulting in an infield single followed by a close play at 2B resulting an a 2nd infield single. I'm still happy with what I saw tonight even though the numbers aren't spectacular.

Choi's average is getting close to respectable. There's still hope. Too bad he and Drew couldn't come through with a big hit in the 9th last night.

I still miss Shawn Green.
I know it was a good move overall, but I just liked the guy, ya know?

I don't miss him a bit. The fact that his only 3 homers this year came against the Dodgers leads me to believe if he were still in LA I'd be cursing him over his lack of power and all the ground outs to the right side with runners on base.
The guy made an amazing diving catch last night. I can't ever remember him doing that with the Dodgers. Man, I can't stand him!
LA is paying this guy $10 million!

Yeah, it's fun knowing were paying him so much to hit HRs against us.
