A missed opportunity since that kind of RPG like experience is present in every major sports game now and is very popular in the mobile game space.

I would love for FM to have some sort of player career option.
FHM as well. Sports management is a fun genre, and being an individual player in that universe is a natural extension of that.

I can't even guess at the thousands of hours of enjoyment OOTP has brought me over the years (starting with v5 for me), nor how many more are to come.

So thank you, Marcus, for bringing such a fantastic avenue for exploring a game I love.

Just now read this post. I wish Markus all the best. I really, truly enjoyed the many iterations of OOTP Baseball over the years and thank Markus individually (and his teams, of course) for all his hard work and, dare I say, "genius" !

Also, just seeing this now. I'm speechless. I still have my original 99 CD! While I am happy for You (Markus) and whatever is next in your journey.

I have to admit, I'm nervous for the future of OOTP without you. It seemed like you were the glue that kept the true vision of the game going.

I suppose time will tell. Hopefully COM2US doesn't take this 'opportunity' to 'EA' this game.

Markus, congratulations and thank you for 27 years of exception support, transparency and a pc baseball game(s) nobody to this day can touch!

First, I will travel a bit in the coming weeks. But then I will most likely relocate from Germany to the USA, if the USCIS approves my O-1 work visa application. I will share my new job with you once my visa is secured.

If the application is denied, which is a possibility, then I will probably do nothing for a while, travel the world, and make plans for a new startup company.

Thank you for all the fine work you've done over the years. I imagine it was more satisfaction than money early on but it looks like in the end you've made some money. Good for you.
