Barons, Brewers take it to the wire in OL R142
Silly Mad Brewers closed the gap on Baltimore, moving within striking distance of the title in the season's final month. The Barons face Bluffton in a 3-game set, while the Brewers host Gear Terrace. The Boomerangs are a formidable foe for Baltimore, while the woeful Warriors should be no match for Silly Mad. (Or have I been saying it wrong and it's the Mad Brewers from Silly?) Route 66 also retains an outside shot at the title, with six OL games remaining on their schedule.
Silly (or Silly Mad), Baltimore, and Route 66 should all achieve the playoffs, with West Burlington joining them for promotion next season. |

Hartford Gains Advantage in OL St156
Hartford took 2 of 3 from South Holland and is poised to gain the title in OL St156. After dropping the first game of the set 2-1, the Whalers crushed the El Caminos in the next 2 games.
Meanwhile, Ostego should make the playoffs, and Ostego and Gettysburg should both be promoted, while South Holland is set to be relegated back to Rookie. |

My question is - are these all the cards that will be issued for PT 22? I'm not sure I can live with no hope for a Willie Mays. |

I am guessing that it will be done like last year and it will be updated as new card sets are officially released by Snaggle J |

Keep in mind that, if past experience repeats itself, the cards to be released in coming months will be significantly superior to what we have seen so far.

I think the plan is to have more variety of players this year, so hopefully we won't see 8 versions of Player X... any well known names not in the game yet are probably slated for release later in the weekly show / prizes for tournaments / prizes for missions Waffletown has been selling off their Live diamond and gold cards and trolling the AH for cheap Live cards to try and clear some of those missions... the small Live missions give gold packs, so been hoping those would provide something worthwhile and not just the usual 6 Live cards... so far only managed to nab two Golds from the packs that can be used in the lineup... Oscar Gamble and Rick Ferrell |

Baltimore Triumphs in Rookie
The Baltimore Barons captured the first trophy for OL PT22 with their run in OL R142. The Barons won all six of their OL games in the season's final month to outdistance the Silly Mad Brewers.
The Barons also won the AC East, and potentially will meet the Brewers, winners of the AC East and owner of the best record in the AC, in the playoffs. The Route 66 Hot Rods will also enter the playoffs as an NC wild card. Those three teams will be promoted to Stone, while West Burlington, Shoebox, and Shinbone narrowly missed promotion. On the other end of the spectrum, Gear Terrace and Sunday, despite a middle and low-middle finish in OL, respectively, ended as the worst two teams in overall play.

Tiebreaker?
Umm...what's the tiebreaker for a league title?
Hartford and South Holland both ended 6-6 in OL play. They didn't play either of the other two teams in OL St156. Total runs scored in their 12 games against each other?

Stone Results
Ostego Lake will enter the Stone playoffs and, along with Gettysburg, will be promoted to Iron. South Holland will be relegated to Rookie.
But I've buried the lede. If we assume that the tiebreaker is runs scored head-to-head, then the OL Stone 156 Championship is awarded to...[drum roll, please]...the Hartford Whalers! They outscored the El Caminos 59-54.

Congrat Barons! I picked up Tommy Leach and a couple of low gold pitchers from packs but they weren't enough.
BTW it is the Mad Brewers from Silly. A play on De Dolle Brouwers who make some tasty beers. I moved them to Silly simply because the name works. I have a plan for a logo but my graphic skills are weak. Plus I had too much time checking on my team this weekend to take a break and fire up GIMP. |

So impressed that you remembered. Here's the tiebreaker list. Tiebreakers beyond run differential head-to-head strike me as redundant, though. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 04-04-2021 at 05:28 AM. |
