I hope TBCB3 will still be available for desktops, as that is all I have, and as I am getting closer to retirement I really do not want to shell out the money unless I can have a version that will work for me.

You're lucky to be able to consider retirement. The closer I get to it the more I wonder if I'll ever be able to afford not working.....

This is one for the future tho as we need to have the game out first.
Hi Paul, can you tell us some status of the game??

Tomorrow will mark a year since this announcement. Is there anything by way of an update that you can provide Paul?

Angry Where is 3 (RPG)!

Dear Sirs,

I bought TB 2.5 as soon as it came out, thinking that v3 (RPG) would be out in a year. What is going on with the development? Are they all hunt and peck typists? When is the RPG version coming out for Pete's sake. Please advise.

Respectfully yours,

John

I emailed Paul of pisdpaul fame in April. Here is some of his reply, I hope he doesn't mind me posting this, however as he rarely comments and people are starved of information I thought I would share. If I am in the wrong then I apologise, my bad. Make of it what you will.

"Given the response to my recent post in the "TBCB-3 Years Away?" thread I think I am better off using my time to write the game than answering the pointless heckling! I will post again when I have some meaningful news to share."

" I am not prepared to make any announcement at present for two major reasons. 1) I have pre-existing commitments to OOTP which I must meet first. I am not in control of how long this lasts. 2) any announcement, not matter how vague, will be used to pressure/blame me if something unforeseen happens."

Continuing with the Jaws theme as someone said recently it's time to fish or cut bait.

Now that iPhone/iPad version of OOTP has been released I would guess (and that's all it is) there is even less time to spend on any future version of TBCB. IMO Andreas should let it be known that TBCB is for sale and see if he gets any takers and let someone else have a go at taking the game on.

There is someone else who is developing a boxing manager game, to be honest the first one was not all that good but he is now having a go at a second version. Every couple of months he will give an update, even if it is just to say "there is not much to report this time" or "very little work has been done". Surely this is better than to make an announcement and then next to nothing for a year?

It's a great game and there is no replacement on the horizon (this announcement is a year old) so, yes!

Yes, from those people who HAVE and WOULD spend money on their product!

"let them eat cake"! We'll look forward to another "announcement" in 2012.

(And I'm NOT talking about the U.S. President election, either!).

Meh. It could mean that the dev team won't have time to spend on TBCB... or it could mean that the added revenue from iOOTP means they can pay for a new programmer and give Andreas a change to work on this while Markus and the new guys work on the OOTPs (and perhaps ITP). I realize it's been a while now, but it doesn't necessarily have to be doom and gloom.

Did I not tell you people to calm down and let the man work? Of course, you all decided to be impatient, and, just as I feared would happen, Paul is now discouraged and doesn't even want to address the TBCB community. Nice going guys.

Most of the people have been patient, and I can understand the anxiety you guys have, but there were a few people in this thread who were acting as if TBCB 3 is Paul's only project and that he makes millions of dollars off of it or something.
