No problem. The first time I went to that link it took me a minute to realize I had to click the logo to download the file.

Good choice Wolf. That's the one I use too. Works very well and the fact that it is free is even a better thing.
If anyone plays this game a lot then I would certainly suggest that you defrag your machine at least once a week. I have a lot of programs on my computer and if I don't defrag every two or three days, it just gets fragmented all over the place and it really slows down a machine. Especially a Vista one. Which is why I deleted my Vista and came back to XP...so much faster now. Vista is the latest Windows ME....just watch and see if that isn't true.

Babe Ruth is in this league and his name is Anthony Black. Five Triple Crowns in his career. What a beast.

Instead of intentially walking him in situations that make sense to do so, I've been beaning him.

I'm also not sure if this is normal or if I'm just seeing an anomoly, but it is June 2nd and there have been 11 season ending injuries around the league. Does that seem right?

Edit: I just simmed another day. Make that 12 players in 2 months.

And just to note, I'm not whining or anything like that. I'm just curious if this is what should normally be expected.

Sounds high to me for it just being June. What settings are you using for injuries. If it continues, I would cut it back, if you haven't already.

I've had even more and I just got to the All-Star break. Right now, the list of players in the majors with season ending injuries is at 18. Some of them are league stars or young studs, so it is a little disconcerting since season ending injuries tend to kill ratings (at least they did in OOTP8 and I'm assuming its not any different now).

Does anyone else have any input on this or is this just normal? I'm freaking out by receiving so many email's about other teams players going down for the year. I've thankfully only lost one guy, though he was a 25 year old SP with 70 current ability and 79 potential that was already my #3 starter on the best staff in the league.

This is only the second season I've played in OOTP9. I played through one season with the MLB roster set and don't recall so many guys going down.

Hopefully this is an anomaly just for this season.

Our league is using a modified injury file because of all the test that were done. Here is a sample of our testing, mainly by our commish. Look here if interested.

Well I defragged my computer and I still can't unzip the file all the way.

If there wasn't so many damn Messages and Team Transaction text files it would work. Ah well.

I don't care how it compares to ootp 2007, how does it compare to real life? There are injury settings within the game, you can turn injuries up or down to your liking if you wish.

Quick question, I am mid year but love these modifiers because it'll be more accurate going forward. Should I change them mid year or will it be screwed up and should just wait for next year? This is also my question for the dev/aging modifiers also.

Thanks for your help!

Dumb question but you don't have new numbers for every category...are those just teh same as default (ex. ground ball, fly ball modifiers)

I would wait until the end of the season.

Ok, I have re-downloaded this many times and it won't let me take control of any team. When I click "apply for GM" it will generate a few player pictures and then the game will give me an error message. What should I do?

Maybe you should redownload the sim itself or the last two updates. No one else seems to be having your problem, so I have no idea why you would be having one, unless you have it downloaded to the wrong folder. You might check that as well. Good luck in any event.
