Did they ever fix that? Are there still like 300+ US divisions that make a beachhead? 100 German AI panzer divisions that take out a nowhere Soviet province?
My hat's off to you sir - the original CORE is my favorite mod for any game ever. As far as the mega stacks that issue hasn't been specifically addressed but the AI is much better overall with the latest Armageddon patch.

thanks. i have to admit, that was the best run team i've ever been a part of, and i agree, the best mod for any game i've ever seen. not really due to anything on my part, however. i was glad for the experience.

i wouldn't have ditched hoi2 if they had fixed that issue, but with it - to me - i have to let it all go. everyone has their areas where they can't.... explain it away to an extent that they can live with it.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

So... speaking of OOTP...

Teasing, guys. Short of some news, not much worth in a "Release date" thread other than good conversation.

I've always been a big fan of HOI but right now I'm back at EU3 with the new version of Magna Mundi Gold just released. Gave Rome a quick try but its not that fun as of yet. Hearts of Iron 2 is the one I always come back to...fell in love with the original and the sequel is great as well.
Throw me into the Paradox fan club on the board as well. I've gotten away from it in the past six months or so with Nascar Racing 2003 and Sim City 4 but still have HOI2 on my laptop.

<--- another Paradox fan. Crusader Kings is just a great game. I love the roleplaying element. I bought EU: Rome 2 weeks ago but haven't installed it yet.

So, any bets on whether In Nomine or OOTP9 will come be released first? So much gaming...so little time. And the choice between playing as Henry V or Ernie Banks is not an easy one.

I've been playing it for all that time and I can't say I envy you.

Crusader Kings is a great game. I have been playing it for years too. I haven't checked out the expansion for it...of course fm2008 is also a great time vacuum too.

As a result of the [off topic] discussion of Crusader Kings in this thread, I have just ordered the game. I am looking forward to it arriving and diving into it almost as much as I am looking forward to hearing the release date for OOTP9. [See what I did then? ]

Now, please go to the Crusader Kings discussion board, assuming there is one, and start talking about OOTP9. Thank you.

I've avoided posting in this thread or any others about OOTPB9 because I'm mature enough to not get worked up over a prospective release date for software, and I'm not really worked up now.

That being said, it's now 20 days since OOTPB9 went on "pre-sale", and a lot of us have spent our hard earned money, myself included, for a product we've seen nothing but screenshots of. At this point, I don't think it's too much to ask for something more specific then "sometime this spring".

If monies hadn't been spent, I'd be perfectly happy sitting here waiting unitil the program was released, regardless of how long it took, and I'm sure many others on this board would agree with me. But now we've spent our money, and I think we're entitled to some sort of information.

I fully respect the time and work that has gone into the development of OOTPB, and I thank the people who have put in that work. Please, let us know what is going on, even if it's just via email to those who have already paid.

Thank you.

A brief update would be nice.

Lack of details has held up my pre-order. I'm sure it's going to be a great product but I get this nagging thought that there is something wrong. I figure it doesn't hurt to wait until there is an update or two.

Well, I'm not real worked up the date either. However, it would be only right that someone in the know gave us an update since they've taken our money on pre-orders.
