Player Development
This really has to be improved. I have TOP PROSPECTS who are still in AAA for 3 seasons and there 25 and not ready for th bigleauges. If you have star ratings the player should be moved up quicked then a diffrent player and developed faster. It stinks when you look back at a Hall Famer and see he had a amazig carrer but he was only is the big leauges for 13 seasons..

This HAS been improved greatly. Maybe the players that are "TOP" prospects aren't as good as you think. How do you know they aren't "ready"? The game doesn't let you know when they are ready....that is up to you.

I have been critical of the player development in the past. I think the latest patch was a great step in the right direction.
Take some chances call them up - a lot of times they develop faster that way - and in many cases it seems like they flip the switch and they never look back. |

Yeah, I too had some very slow developing players but they have made huge strides since 4.1.

I had the same problem in earlier versions. I still do, although to a far lesser extent. Perhaps I tend to err on the side of caution. But it is true - it's rare that you draft a college player (21-23) and have him in the big leagues within three years (meaning only two full seasons in the minors). It is better than it was in previous versions, but it still leaves something to be desired.

There should be more players 16-20 in the draft pool, particularly way more 18 year olds, i havent seen many in OOTP despite the fact that they are major parts of the major league draft, this would be a big step in solving some of the Player Development problems as not only would it allow for exeptional players like AROD, Andruw or a young Gooden to be in the majors at 18 but it would also allow a player to develop for 5 or 6 years and still be reasonably young like IROD and Sammy.
