ABA debuts performance graphs.....
Thanks to Alvaman, one of our vultures, the American Baseball Association presents our performance graphs!!
There are a total of 26 bar graphs tracking each team's statistical numbers against all the other 23 teams in the league. A great addition to our league!! Check it out at ABA Home Page or Graph Page We are on the move!! |

Very nice indeed. Nice clean feel to it all. I was trying to figure out a way to present similar charts/data from my league.
I'm curious...how automated is the process? Using the Org reporter to extract data then using excel to filter and present with pivot tables/lookups? Or more manual handling of the data? One note - you might want to force the axis on the slugging %, batting avg, era etc. to have a "proper" number of decimals to have an easier read to it. Again - very nice touch.

the system is *semi-automated* ![]() basically, i use excel to read in the 4 html files (league batting/pitching/fielding/finance), then a couple macros parse the data & create the charts as gif files. the whole process takes about 10 mins including the upload time. -alvaman |
