BBDL/BBL hardly copied their sites. Only BALL2 is fully copied almost as much as USBL, and that credits iMLB.

Well, looking at records, i tried to update the site about 6 times, but the site did not get updated. It must be the damn server, either damn slow server, or you can't update your site period.... DAMN SERVER!

I've created an OOTP league... As well as a Madden league. As well as FPS Football Pro leagues. As well as ran a tribe for Tribes and I've NEVER stole someone else's web site. That's just bush-league. I've used some ideas from other leagues, borrowed a few rules, but never with out permission... so dont' make excuses fanzerpaust for those who steal the hard work of another web creator. Copying IDEAS is one thing, but using the same freaking page is totally different. I mean he didn't even take the time to cover his trail and delete that which says iMLB... NOT a good sign.

His parents probably contacted the school board when caught plagerizing his science assignment after the teacher failed him for cheating. What's the lesson learned there?

Give credit where it's due

I created my own web site for the Great American Pastime Baseball League and did all the work from start to finish, but there's no question that I was influenced by other great sites I'd seen out there, including the iMLB. The way I dealt with that was to put a credits page on my site (http://www.gross-net.com/ootp/gapbl/credits.asp) to make sure I gave props to those that I borrowed from.
I don't agree with just flat out doing a copy/paste from the source view to "create" your web site, but that's just the Way o' the Web. I do think though that you should add a Credits page of your own. Just my two cents.

I'm not sure everyone knows how hard and time consuming it can be to create a league. It takes time and effort. So i think we should be a little more understanding with the fact that he was just trying to save time, so he could devote more of his time to the league (which is going to be awesome, by the way).
Please calm down about this and try to be nicer in the future, as we are all playing for the same purpose: to have fun!

I think that's the whole problem... I'm well aware how much time and effort it takes to make a website, as I had to make mine from scratch. If someone just stole my design, I'd be pissed too BECAUSE of the amount of work I had to put into it. If I want to save time on an essay I may have to write, I wouldn't just copy one. Sure, it saves me time... but it's also illegal. There's really no difference between stealing someones website and their thoughts in a document I think. You have no right to either. If you don't have the time to make a website, get someone else to make one for you, or maybe you don't have time to run the league. If you have time to run the league, you have time to make the website. There is no excuse for stealing someone elses.
