Server?

Hey. I'm currently tring to find a server to hold my league. The current server that I have won't let me update my site. Here is what i'm looking for.

At least 50 MBs of space
FTP support
No Banners & Ads
Fast and reliable.

I know, the OOTP server would fit it, but So far, GMs does not have any order IDs left to help to move to the OOTP server. If you do find something, give me a halla. Thanks!

dude, i cant edit the site. To re-phase it, when I upload the site files, it wont update. Thats why I'm tring to move to different servers. Think Before you talk.

I think that Rush's post was meant light-heartedly, thus the smiley at the conclusion.

I would add this response to your earlier question of what makes a good online league. As a commissioner, you should NEVER respond to someone with a flippant comment, such as 'Think before you talk', even if you want to, and even if it may be justified (which does not appear to be the case here). It reeks of immaturity, even if you are not an immature person on the whole. Someone who is considering joining your league will read it, and they will decide to pass. Just some friendly advice from an unbiased observer

XBL, how in heck would anyone be inclined to join your league(s)? You often come across as a pompous, immature, ingrate. I am sure the GMs in your league feel differently than I but you asked for advice on being a successful commissioner in another thread and seem to heed none of it. Maybe a serious mea culpa regarding your outright copy of another league web page without any acknowledgment would help atone, especially if done without the "it's not my fault" or "everyone does it" excuse.

First, it's USBL, not XBL...

I honestly don't care who is inclined to join my league. If they wanna join it, great! If they don't, then so be it. I'm not going to force anyone into joining the USBL, not at all.

If you read a couple of my posts, the current server the site is on, is crap, because the server will not let me update my league site, so thats why I created this thread. The site that is on had many mistakes, left some things, and then some.... I had no intension to hide anything, the hell, I uploaded the site so that my ftp server, and the site wouldnd work. When I tried to re-upload, it would not let me update the site. Thats why the site looks what it does right now. The current updated site, is much altered, some things were deleted from the old one, and added one or two things. I did read many of the reponced from the thread, and saved them to my hard drive for future use and ideas. I said straight up, i used the imlb setup, when i first saw this thread (and the person who first made that thread did not have premission to link to my site.) I have currently taken down the current USBL site, in search for a new server, then which, I will bring out the "New" USBL site. It may have some things from the iMLB, some things are deleted, and a disclaimer, giving thanks to the iMLB & OOL commissioners. Oh well, Hopefully, this will end the confusion, and if it doesnt (and i'm tring to get it straighten up) give me a PM, or E-mail me at gopadres0524@aol.com. To the iMLB and OOL Commish, i apoligize to them, and no hard feelings, I just didn't think people would make a huge deal. Oh well, I'll learn from this. Isnt what commissioners like me supposed to do? Learn from their mistakes? Oh well

I was by no means 'ganging up' on you. You started a thread a couple days ago asking how run a good online league, and I was merely offering you another suggestion. It would seem to me that a good commissioner would care about scaring off a potential quality owner, but you say you don't care who joins the league, so sorry for the advice.

When I said " I dont care who joins the league" i didnt mean, oh yeah, everyone can join! I don't Care what quality gm you are!. No, that wasnt what I ment. What I ment to say is, If a GM wants to consider joining my league, yeah, i do care. I wanna look at a background of that GM (has he/she cheated in a league, is he/she active, does he/she patricipate in leagues...) I do happend to care if a active, quality owner wants to consider joining the USBL. I feel like i'm being trashed for no reason, besides simply tring to learn, and tring the best I can at being a commissioner. Everyone makes mistakes, and i guess you guys don't undertstand that.

You ain't ready for this, dude.

Join a league, but you have, by no means, the attitude needed to successfully Commish a league at this point in your life.

I think you need to calm down a bit son. I think the Jolt cola is getting to you. You seem to have your heart in the right place, and seem to be trying to make your league better, but just by reading the posts here, i would never give you web space and i would never join one of your leagues. That isnt fair to judge you from only 4 or 5 posts, but you dont come off very well on these posts. I am sure you dont give a **** about what i think, but hopefully you will reread your posts and realize how this makes you look bad.
