Latric's HTML Editor

Hopefully the man behind the program himself, can help me on this... if not, anyone who has two cent, feel free to chime on in

Ok... the HTML editor, we all know how it has to make an ini file in the league, right? Where it saves all the changes and crap like that.

Well... this particular league I have, the program just refuses to put an ini file in there and store my changes. It will store them in any other directory... any other league... but this one [the one I truly need it for] it refuses to write an ini file to -- thus, it won't save the changes.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? I mean, all I do for other leagues, is install the software. Open the HTML editor, go to browse... find my league.dat for that league. Then, find rhe HTML league.htm file/directory.

The real kicker of it is, this thing worked fine with this very league just two weeks ago. Then, I had to reinstall the HTML editor, because a file or something went corrupt. Now, it won't work with this league.... but will any other league.

Odd, isn't it?

Why does everyone always say Latric? I'm pretty sure it's Iatric. It happens at other sites too, kind of funny how I's and L's get interchanged.

Thanks for the tangent... and totally dodging the actual question.

Yep, its Iatric... just for another tangent (indulge me)... The company I work for is Iatric Systems. My boss has me always write the company name using Tahoma as the font because its easier to distinguish the I from the L. He gets tired of getting checks and other things written to Latric Systems (althought I'm sure he never gets tired of cashing the checks regardless).

Now back to the problem. Haven't ever heard of that one before. Is there already a file there (and possibly read only or write protected) ? I'm not sure where to even begin to solve that one. I've used it on hundreds of league subdirectories without a problem like that. If there is an INI file there already, try deleting it. If there isn't one, can you copy one from another subdirectory then click on Edit Defaults and edit it for the way you want in that particular league? Let me know and I'll keep trying to help you....

Here is a league that uses it, the "range" rating at the right is basically what this is.

Well, you "can" but you have to make up the "gold glove" list so to speak and add this to you league history and player history...but it is possible.

It enhances the html appearance of web pages, adds team names and logos, etc.

You have to use the "master html" feature and have the game generate web pages, but yes I am sure. You can view the pages on your computer, the report is the "individual fielding" one.

Does the tool have a "home" so to speak? A few sites for add-ons just have the downloads, not descriptions of the programs

(lecture) Range factor is a poor indicator of a player's actual range and tends to be more of a reflection of the abilities of the team's pitching staff than the player's fielding ability.(/lecture)

Has the utility been updated to use Jpgs instead of BMP coding yet?

That would save much server space in regards to the player photo files.
