2nd year historic league(1978) has Angels open

GABL is an OOTP5 historic league that is moving into it's 2nd season(1978) and has the California Angels open. We will begin off-season free agency on Monday Jan. 3. The Angels have around 30 mil to spend in free agency. They had an 87-75 record last year and SP-Frank Tanana won the AL Cy Young. The major league roster sports such players as Bobby Bonds, Juaquin Andujar, Joe Rudi, Bruce Bochte. They have the 12th rated farm system in GABL with such youngsters as Carney Lansford and Brian Harper. GABL is a historic league that creates amateurs for the draft in the year they were actually drafted, thereby requiring some development in most cases, rather than just importing amateurs in the year they began major league play (requiring little or no development) as most historic leagues do. Our 1978 amateur draft will take place shortly after offseason free agency (mid-Jan) and will feature such future studs as Cal Ripken Jr, Ryne Sandberg, Bob Horner, Kent Hrbek, Dave Stieb, Mike Boddicker, Steve Sax, Tony Phillips, Steve Bedrosian, Jesse Orosco, strikeout/hr machine Rob Deer and countless others. All in all there will be 51 real life ammy's added to the 1978 ammy class. The rest will be the lower rated fictional ammy's created by the game. We use both BOSI as well as CATO, and you can find the brief CATO history of the league on the home page, www.goldenageofbaseball.com. We sim 3 times/week, M/W/F and do many live sims. We are on a 7/8/7 schedule. You must own the game. The league initially was invite only and we have experienced very little turnover our first year and have always had a full league.
