Where to find Catobase?
I'm trying to find the Cato historical utility, and the link to eqalnicity.com does not seem to work anymore. Any ideas where I can get the latest version?

This is bad news for the Catobase in my opinion... Equalnicity is gone
![]() Anyhoo... you can probably get the Catobase from one of the many addon sites for OOTP. www.baseballsimcentral.com should have it |

I agree.
OOTP download center has it, I believe DaveHorn has all versions saved. http://www.ootpdownloadcenter.com/utilities.html |

Man. I fear the worst too. I just picked it up within the last week or so. Talk about timing. But maybe, just maybe, it means Cato is doing some updating.
And I have this piece of land in Florida ...... |

I suppose this is one good thing about OOTP7 not coming out for almost another year.

Actually the Download Center doesn't have it. The download link for Catobase was a link to Equalnicity. If anyone has the files send them to me at JoeRockEHF@comcast.net. I've been busy but I'll try and get them up as soon as possible.

I also have all those versions and can upload them so JoeRock can download and put them in the download center. Might not get to it until later tonight or tomorrow.
I've been wanting to remake CATO forever but have had many other hobby oriented programming tasks that have been higher priority. I'm fairly positive that if Jeff were to never return, that I, or some other individual would carry on with a new CATO. CATO 6.0.0 has been adequate for my immediate needs, but if there was suddenly no CATO, I know it would become a very high priority on my project list. |

All versions of Catobase for OOTP 6 are up at the Download Center in the Utilities section.

You can follow the link in exoverge's post for the exporter. As for if you have to download all of them in order I'm not sure. I've never fully got involved with using Catobase so I couldn't help you there. I'd take a guess that you download 5.4 then the 6.0 update, then the 6.1.4 update but I'm unsure. I'm sure someone else here knows the answer.

So it's the BOSI exporter? I've seen sites that had both BOSI and CATO and they had a "CATO Exporter for 6.1.4" but it linked to Cato's site, so they no longer work. If it's the BOSI export then I have that. |

If you are using CATOBASE 6.1.4 you do not need the exporters. The files are included with the program and run in the background when you create the input files. These files are then loaded into the MDB database file and then you just use the second option to create the HTML files.
The new program is slick and does not require as many steps as the old program did. Also you just need 5.4.0 and then the newest update I believe. |
