Calling all Commishes...Webmasters...GMs...HUGE LLWS PROJECT! Really Interesting!

Hey yall...I saw a recent post by Cidifer about a Little League WS league...and it was brought to my attention that I did think about it before but thought it would be too complicated. However, I now realize it can be done. But with GOOD help and DEDICATION....because I have an EXCELLENT WAY on how it runs! Listen up.

TOTAL LLWS STRUCTURE
The Little League Organization will have 8 regions. Four U.S. Regions and four international regions. Right now we're looking at West, East, Midwest, Mideast for the U.S. regions and Asia/Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and Canada for the International regions. Keeping up?

REGIONAL STRUCTURE
Ok. Each region will be functioned like an MLB season. There will be four divisions to each region, four teams per division. That totals up to 16 teams to each region.

TEAM STRUCTURE
Every team will only 18 man rosters. 5 pitchers and 12 positional players. DH WILL BE DISABLED. Only 3 man rotations are allowed. There will be no Relievers nor Closers in the game.

PLAYER INFO
Only players 10-12 will be allowed to play in the league. After that they must released and deleted from the game. All player ages will be editted. Players' skill will be determined by TALENT and not RATINGS. NO RATINGS. Player names will be determined by the Team's Owner/Manager.

REGIONAL SCHEDULE
Each team will play 30 games in one season and then the playoffs.

REGIONAL PLAYOFFS
The playoffs are there mainly to determine the #1 and #2 seeds from each division. It still determines the REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP...but the runner up also gets a bid to the LLWS tournament.

REGIONAL OFFSEASON SCHEDULE (After LLWS Champion has been determined)
Once a LLWS Champ has been determined, then the REGIONAL OFFSEASON will begin. During the offseason, four things will take place in order: AGE CUTS, PLAYER RECRUITS (or AMMY DRAFT), SPRING TRAINING, then the FINAL ROSTER CUT (which determines your 18 boy roster).

LLWS TOURNAMENT BASIC INFO

LLWS TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE
There will be another league setup for this. There will 2 leagues/sides and 2 divisions per side, total of four divisions. One league/side will be the US and the other International. There will be 4 teams per division, making it a total of 16 teams. Each region will send off two teams (The champion and runner up) and they'll be placed randomly. Only International teams can play in International pools/divisons and US teams in US Pools/divisions. There will be no mixing of US and International team in pool play. It'll ruin the whole idea of LLWS and the idea of International Champion vs. US Champion.

OTHER MISC. STUFF
There will be NO FREE AGENCY. NO MINORS SYSTEM. NO FINANCIAL SYSTEM. This is to keep this Little League system as legit as possible. Oh and the only thing that I can't quite figure out how to edit, is the number of innings per game so as of now games will have to be 9 INNING GAMES.

That's the basics for now. It is a huge project people. And may I stress HUGE project. But it's very possible. And It'll be very fun.

Heres what I'd need to setup the league

1. 10 commishes, eight to run each region and 2 for the LLWS Tournament(I only want serious people...I don't want any screw arounds who just wanna run one to run one. I want dedicated, experienced commissioners)

2. Webmasters. I'll take as much as possible. Any experienced webmasters who can help with the site, I'll take them

3. GMs...

I will be taking emails for those who are interested in any of the 3 positions mentioned above. I'll also be taking emails or IMs for those willing to help with any other aspects of this league. Here's my info

The only problem I see is how are you going to import all the qualified teams into the LLWS (new league). Last time I checked, Pierre's editor still wouldnt allow importation of entire teams from one league to another.

I'm usually skeptical of people with a low # of posts on the boards with lofty ideas such as this, but I could help out with this in some way IF it ever materializes.

I'd want to look over the names of the people who were on board before I committed my time though.

Cooley is correct. There is no way currently to import teams from several leagues into another league. This is what has been holding up the Maelstrom Inter-league Tournament idea. I sure wish that there was a way to do it (as there was in OOTP3).

hey, BTW you might want to allow a AAA team which acts as the 9-10 year olds, becuase when I played they would allow up to 2 10 years olds on a single team, this will also let you have injuries if you want, and still have someone you can bring up, in addition you can have a player for 4 years, and playing for 3 years instead of just 2.

Just a though, good luck and I hope this works out.

I personally don't like the idea. With OOTP the players will get tired, injured, and they only have 12/5 players. I have semi a lot of posts so.. sorry .

You can turn off player fatigue and injuries, though. This seems like a large undertaking for something of minimal interest, but good luck. I would like to see you pull it off.

Under League Setup, in the upper left hand corner, in the same area where you can enable/disable coaches, scouts, finances, etc.

Sounds like a huge project no doubt.

Just as big as my college season that i am in the process of making up. Same kinda theory going on too. Only difference i am using real rosters with 2002 stats! To get each player in i am putting them in one by one into the spreadsheat and importing them one by one into the game. Lots of work.

Good luck you will need it.
