Error Code

When I tried to login to play OOTP6... The game was just shutting down... So I deleted all the old Leagues I have played... I tried to go back in and start a new League... I got a Windows Error Message starting ....

Runtime Error!

Program:...gram\OutOfTheParkDevelopements\OOTP6\OO TP6.exe

This application has the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact applicatons support team For more info

OK

This is what is in the Microsoft Visual C Runtime Library Box

Please advise on what can be done whether it is reinstalling or what I have to do... this is the 2nd use of the license that was bought and I need to know if I have to comtact someone or if there is something like a patch for XP....
Thsnk you for your help

Reinstall the game, you shouldn't have deleted "the last open" league. Once you reinstall you should be good to go.

Licenses should be fine multiple times as the basic setup for licensing software is mathematical. Your e license setup in the game software will send in your number and if it doesn't mathematically calculate out to a pre-determined value set by the e licensing company's system, licensing will be denied. There's almost no way to deny licensing if the numbers, letters, spacing, etc.,entered into the formula, reach that pre-determined value.

Long story short. You'll be fine. Just print out a copy of your reciept and keep it in a safe place in case you have to call these guys: 866-723-3376.

(This doesn't mean that this gives you the green light for you to make copies of OOTP and give it to all your friends!! That is illegal.)

That's how most "registration key" systems work, but with eLicense, your code is sent to an eLicense server that releases the licenses, so once your code is using the maximum permitted number of licenses (two in OOTP's case), the server won't release any more licenses without you unlicensing a previous copy (or special eLicense intervention, in the case of computer / hard drive meltdown).

However, reinstalling OOTP on top of an already licensed copy should work fine, though you could unlicense first (Control Panel / eLicense Control) if you wanted to be extra sure it would work.

Aaaaaaah, so e-license is just a little smarter than I thought!! Drats! My plan is foiled!! Well, the law is the law. Meaning that you have the right to backup anything you have and use your backup an infinite number of times. Seems either OOTP or e-licensing is gonna lose out because it costs money to man the phones for all those who like to reinstall thier OS and thus software multiple times.

Although I doubt that they'll deny more than two license requests via simple counters, I think the main thing to remember is the rights that you have with your purchase. Ultimately OOTP is responsible if e-license fails to allow your limitless ownership of this product...regardless of (and especially due to) problems with the software.
