Anyone ever do this?
Anyone out there make some baseball cards for the great players in their league at all? Maybe I have too much time on my hands but I am having a blast with my new Photoshop program that I just have to give it a shot!!
Let me know what you think...

That would be a kick ass feature to add. Maybe size it down some, but that is a great idea!

Well, I would assume that after the player goes to the hall of fame, you could just place that over the photo file in the catobase and use that instead. I don't think that it would be all that difficult.

This is something I toyed with back in the 1922 season of the NML, now in the 1934 season. I did a template with the back ground league symbol, team name etc. on different layers using PSP. Here is a finnished card anlong with some other examples. I still have the teamplate if anyone is interested.

Good idea, commish and nmleague...would be great if we could have this in the game.
Commish, you are coming along very well with the graphic arts. This HOF is excellent. It is always good to have another good designer here on the board. Last edited by Eugene Church; 12-21-2004 at 10:57 AM. |

You can see the 'cards' I create for the league website of the Professional Circuit at www.pro-circuit.net and then go to the Archives section to see all the front page stories for each season. Hope that is relevant.

Cooley, those are brilliant...I feel as though I have been transported to the early 1900's.

But I'm not an online type. I don't have the knowledge of the business of baseball to do that. I know nothing about waivers, disabled list, negotiating contracts, 40 man rosters, etc. I'm still trying to figure out stuff, movement and control and contact and gap power and player development and aging modifiers. We did some popup award in the ATHL that never wound up getting use but I always liked the idea. Here's an example.
