making a backup

I tried to backup my laegue but when I wanted to play it on my computer at work it wouldn't load the league saying there was a different ootp.exe file.
The same happens when I want to make a backup of the whole game.
What can I do ?

After you "backed up" the league and then wanted to play it did you use the "restore" command in the left-hand drop down menu?

Yes I did. I wondered if there are any hidden files which I didn't copy.

I just tried it and it worked fine, are you using v4.1 of the game?

Could they be different versions of the game?

No they are the same versions. I tried it today and backuped my whole game onto a CD. When I transfered it on my laptop and started the game it said that the .exe file is different from the original.
And there are no different versions since it's both 4.1.
It's kind of dumb because than I can't play my save game at any other computer.

If you backed it up to a CD then that is the problem, once the files are burned to a CD they(for some reason) are changed to "read only" files if you right click and check the "properties". You need to highlight all of the files and right click on them then change all of the files to "archive" under properties and they will work fine.

You need to give details like that, makes things much easier.

In tech support issues, especially when it is online like this, the more details that you give the better......

i think ootp relies on some hidden files and entries into the registry, so simply copying the game files from computer to computer or folder to folder will not work. try installing it with the installation program (and if you lack internet access on one, you can contact viatech for a registration number.)

I think it was just a league file issue for Skywalker, not a game issue. That CD fix suggested by Steve is a good one (this is a common complaint) and it applies to any files you archive onto a CD, not just files for OOTP. Files burned onto a CD will be read-only when you copy them back to the PC.
