I can't get the game open

I have OOTP6 on a Dell Dimension 4550, Windows XP, Pentium 4 2.40 ghz, 512 mb of RAM. If you need more info let me know, I'm computer-stupid.

I was in the middle of playing a game and I minimized the screen. I got on the phone with computer tech support for a problem completely unrelated to OOTP. While on the phone, I had to reboot the computer, forgetting that I still had OOTP open in the middle of a game.

Now, my unrelated computer problem is fixed. I cannot open OOTP. I double click, nothing happens. I right click, press "open," nothing happens. What do I do?

Insult to injury, OF COURSE it's been a while since I backed up, and my team has been playing phenomenally well over the last couple months. If I lose all that....oooh man...

What do I do? What can I try? Please help!!!!

Go to Start / Run and put in "services.msc"... make sure that the LicCtrl Service is Started and on Automatic.

Wow....I don't even know what that means, so I definitely never would have figured it out myself. It worked. Thanks a lot. Backing up as we speak...
